The atmosphere at Assam spice is just right and what we want in a traditional old school Indian restaurant. Soft, warm lighting in the traditionally decorated room. While everything we ordered was outstanding, the true star of the show was the vegetable karahi. This dish was an absolute revelation. Served in a traditional wok-like karahi dish, it was a vibrant tapestry of perfectly cooked vegetables—peppers, carrots, and cauliflower—each retaining a delightful bite and natural sweetness. The vegetables were coated in a thick, generously spiced tomato gravy that was bursting with flavor. The spices were perfectly balanced, with warming cumin, fragrant coriander, and a subtle kick of chili that didn't overwhelm the delicate flavors of the fresh produce. Paired with a warm, fluffy garlic naan and fresh chappatis it was a wholesome and deeply satisfying dish that proves vegetarian cuisine can be both rich and exciting. The flavors were clean, vibrant, and tasted truly authentic. The portions were generous, and the presentation of every dish was thoughtful and appealing. The excellent food was matched by the impeccable service. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, providing great recommendations and catering to all our needs. The staff's passion for their cuisine and their guests' experience was evident throughout the evening, making us feel genuinely welcome and cared for.

Although it was quiet, Assam Spice delivered a truly holistic and memorable dining experience. I’ve not had the opportunity to visit the restaurant however I have ordered numerous times and I havent been disappointed yet, as an executive chef I’ve often struggled with takeaways and the hopes of getting high quality food delivered to my door but Assam definitely delivers this in abundance, The Curries are rich and flavoursome and the meat hidden within that rich creamy spiced sauce is freshly cooked.. it just oozes quality… every rice dish is perfectly seasoned and tasty and the naan bread are the perfect size to enjoy and not over indulge.. I would personally recommend the Pathia or the dhansak but I could recommend them all because they are smashing it out of the park… well done! See you again on...

It was stunning. Ali was a wonderful host, super kind, charming and non judgmental when we ordered one meal between us (making healthier choices 🤣)

The quality was outstanding. They clearly use fresh ingredients. The chicken Kharai was delicious. Portion size was perfect to feed both of us and the price was a wonderful surprise!
