Absolutely Pathetic, We thought we'd try Morrisons on Preston docklands for breakfast. big mistake ! As you can see by the photos the self-service till was not working to start with. Although the place was not even half full but we still had to wait 30+ minutes for our meal. They had no brown sugar for our coffee no mustard for the cremated sausage Barm on dry bread and the bacon was uncooked. The cutlery was dirty and on top of the disappointing meal Morrisons gets first prize for having the most expensive jar of Nescafé Gold blend Espresso coffee I have ever seen at £4.75 for a 95g when the excaclty same product is on sale for £2.99 at B&Ms next door. NEVER AGAIN MORRISONS !

Local supermarket for me, tend to go later in day to avoid crowds due to anxiety, but my experience in last 12months has found 2 recurring major negative issues with this store. First never have a manned till after certain time?!?! So it's self scan wot ever amount u buy, followed by predictable "unexpected item in bagging area" ahhhhhhh. Also staff stocking shelves, this is great but fact they block off aisles or condemn u for passing them really gets me mad. Especially when u move aside to allow them through and apologise just incase u slowed them down to be given dirtiest look ever and ignored. Manners cost nothing

Improved entrance and foyer means you're not walking into a funeral home before you do your shopping anymore. I like the fact that there's flowers on display and you've got space to move around freely. The makeover of the supermarket is a lot better, a bit more modern than a year ago, but you'll still be able to find everything. Sadly, quite a lot of the brain-dead staff are still there. Still unwilling to help, still taking forever to serve you. Get rid of them and replace them with people who actually want to do their jobs, and it'll be the best supermarket in town.

Things seem to have really gone downhill at a fast pace No point in trying to shop on my way home from work on a Saturday around 6pm which would be super convenient for me as half of the items I require are not available, just empty shelves. Other times of the day and week has also been an issue regarding lack of stock. The More card is a pointless excerise as these days it's a miracle when a £5 voucher is awarded. Even the Christmas voucher system has gone rubbish compared to once upon a time when it was worth doing... I always shopped in morrisons, and especially in the run up to Christmas when I wanted to make sure I got my weekly spend correct to receive my voucher... Now I don't bother as its cheaper in the long run to just get some stuff from lidl or aldi and make my savings that way. Why do you start off doing something that loyal customers actually like and feel benefits them in some way, then get greedy and dwindle it down or make the weekly spend much more before reaching the entitlement for xmas vouchers? Too much marketing to make money as in buy one get one half price etc... Some people just want smaller amounts at the right price... Apart from the fantastic Nutmeg clothing dept and the clearance fridge there are no benefits whatsoever from shopping at this store. Wonderful young lady Vicky working on the deli counter whose customer service skills are exemplory and for this reason I go to that counter for my cold meats etc. It may also be worth mentioning that there are issues with the car park and other people also complain regarding greenery in the form of spiky grass type plants positioned right on the corners of turning in and out points inside the car park near the petrol station and a great big immitation coffee cup on the left that blocks drivers view when leaving the car park at the main entrance nearest to homebase... Nothing much customer friendly...

An 86 year old lady: Two unacceptable incidents

  1. 16/4/22 Approx 15:00

I was with my mother who is 85 and my father who is 78 and has Alzeimers in your cafe in the store. I watched one of your female emplyoees who was on the till refuse repeadely to take a £2 coin claiming it was not legal tender. Mum had just recived this coin from you till at the checkout. Mum then paid with a note. When I checked out the coin, it was in fact legal tender. It was a |£2 with as thistle on it but was other than that perfectly fine and I spoke to the lady explaining so. She did not offer any apology either to myself or my mum. I found this unacceptasble given I watched receive this change at the checkout.

  1. 23/4/22 Approx 15:15

Mum and dad were going throug the checkout. Mum asked the checkout lady if she could leave a vegetable item (celery) as it was going off at the bottom. The lady at the checkout told my mum "Wait your turn" irrately. Mum is not prone to hyperbole and she told me that she did the same when my dad mistyakenly handed her money thinking it was their turn ("can you wait your turn").

My mum turns 86 on Wednedsay and wqhen she rang on Saturday she was extremely upset having done nothing wrong andc given how dealing with my dad isn't easy for anyone let alone an 85 year old lady.

You have let me and my family down in two...

Recently visited to use the cafe, which once again has been changed. I found the café to be very disjointed. Choose your dietry requirements from a large touch screen, I thought I was in McDonald's!...choose your drinks and collect them from different places, depending on your order. Each table has a number, but you are asked to choose a number from a pile of cards below the menu screen. No instructions to suggest whether your chosen number should correspond with the table number, left me baffled. I wanted a window seat, but couldn't as my card number led me right to the back of the cafe. Not great with mobility issues! The food was served quickly, by a worker without table etiquette. Plonked my soup down, splashing me with the contents. Handled my bread bun with her hands and plonked butter onto the table like it was a favour she had undergone, although I had requested spread via the menu screen. My order .. chicken broth, was sadly, tasteless and I debated whether it was from a tin. It was luke warm and some had been removed from the bowl prior to being served as there was a ring around the upper part of the dish. All in all very disappointed and will not be returning to the cafe. There are other eateries in the vacinity, which I will use next time. As I did not shop in the store I am unable to comment on...
