It was New Year’s Day, and the need to satisfy hunger was high. Family members were plentiful, but that was no challenge for the talented cooks at Bombay Joe's. What they delivered was nothing short of the best Indian takeaway I had ever tasted.
When I think about what makes a great Indian takeaway, a few things come to mind: the quality of the chicken, the richness and depth of the sauce, and the efficiency of the delivery. Whilst the delivery time was just average, the other factors exceeded my expectations by at least treble. The tenderness of the meat in the chicken and lamb was nothing short of perfection. You can tell that, at Joe's, they really take the taste of the sauces seriously, as the sauces accompanied were easily better than any other Indian takeaway in the county.
Absolutely incredible selection of curries that I tried tonight. Normally, I would just stick to my own, but as everyone in my family was blindsided by the amazing taste of these curries, I had to taste the others too—and I was not disappointed. Everyone in my family was very satisfied, and we will definitely buy from here again.

I absolutely love Indian food, I eat Indian food at least once a week & had high hopes for this place, being a local.
I ordered the jalfrezi and my wife had the tikka masala. Both dishes tasted like chicken in Heinz tomato soup with a few spices sprinkled on top. Neither dish tasted like Indian food. I am genuinely convinced Heinz tomato soup is the main ingredient.
The keema naan was heavy and doughy, and the poppadoms tasted like the ones you get at the supermarket.
They do serve a bunch of other stuff like salad boxes and noodles which might be nice, but all I want is a really good curry, and sadly they don't...
Read more2nd visit after being underwhelmed on opening weekend. The nan breads are great. Has spicy wings starter which were different & really good. Unfortunately the curry itself was just a bit, meh.. The kind of curry I made as a student just throwing random veg in a pan. No layers of flavour. But the biggest disappointment was the chutney tray - 3 tiny pots (half the size of other takeaway pots) does not constitute a "tray" in my opinion. We had 4 poppadoms, and despite using the dips very sparingly, still had nowhere near enough.
In all honesty wouldn't be in any hurry to go back, which is a shame. Try the...
