People whom criticise Leven as a whole surprise me. Leven Town has sadly like soo many town centres has more closed shops than open A lot of which are charity shops. Leave your car in the car park or take it to the car parking areas beside the beach and prom it's well worth it. It's a bonny area and a lovely area for walking with or without your furball. There's a swimming pool at one end just across from entrance to town centre and bus station. At the other end of the beach and prom is a lovely caravan park that separates beach from Links golf course. Couple of play areas for kids, lots of parking and seating which is being upgraded as I write this review (15.12.19). Usual seafront amusement arcade with cafe upstairs and seating outside. Indoor children's play centre which I used to take my kids to which has adult seating area inside and serves tea, coffees juice as well as food and sweets and ice cream. There is also a window for serving people outside with the above with a small sitting area. All in all pretty much everything you could want or need and yes there are public toilets just beyond the Playzone. An outside gym,...

Now the irony of what is and what isn't polite wasn't lost on us, and perhaps this couple are local celebrities but it certainly wasn't a good first impression of Leven. I'd be mortified if someone on Nairn beach did that to a visitor!
It didn't detract from the absolute stunning beauty of the walk though and I'd still absolutely recommend to anyone. Just mind...
