After getting over the fact I'd not realised that the Epperston Restaurant had moved, I calmed down. It was my mistake. Table for two glass of bubbly. Lovely jubbly! Unfortunately every time the kitchen door opened we were in a wind tunnel. Mentioned, and back door shut temporarily. Three times the menus were blown away. Once our Tote lucky dips also blown away. (One small win if you're interested). The youngsters were friendly. The service was terrible. Ordered a bottle of the suggested wine. They did not have it. Fine if they hadn't waited until I complained 35 minutes in. Was given a complimentary bottle. Good service and they wouldn't have needed to! Table clearing was disgraceful. Our 2 champagne flutes went with the coffee cups at 5.45. Over 2 and a half hours after the meal finished. In fact the afternoon cheese board was served and they were still on the table. Add to this having to go to the bar to order? If you are charging Β£163 per person then make sure the service reflects the cost. The food was ok. The dessert was fabulous. But overall the day was spoiled from...

Love this place for days out by myself only been disappointed few times on a busy meeting you queue for 25mins for the toilet and you will queue for 30mins easily for a drink and miss start of races if you want an annual membership buy the 300 plus membership as the 230 one is useless it only allows you entry without a queue and a free race programme and a quality street sweetie..it allows you to stand in a tiny section where you will be lucky to get in as they don't check so anybody can stand there your 230 membership WONT get you in members bar you will be checked for a pass and if you have the 230 pass you WONT get in you will be asked by security to pay an extra 100 pound or to backhand them 50 pound and will let you in memebers bar out of order! So if wanting to become a member get the expensive membership and don't be...

First visit to a race course on New Year's day and I have to say it was a really good day out. Nice touch having a Piper play the crowd in which automatically made you feel you where coming to something special. Seeing the horses and riders in the show area gave me a real feel of excitement as you see how magnificent the horses are. The actual horse racing is equally exciting and the large screen in the middle of the race course adds to the enjoyment. The Ceilidh band were also an excellent addition to the day and the crowd really seemed to enjoy the band. The beer and food was reasonably priced and the service was excellent. A really good day out and would certainly recommend it.

We had a cracking day at the races! Beers and gambling are an easy win, but this was a good family day out too with lots of stuff on for the kids. Wasn't too busy, just a good buzz. Alcohol is pretty pricey but security pretty lax so you could probably sneak your own booze in if disguised carefully. A wide array of street food vans that are reasonably priced and all look ked delicious. Mexican, traditional fish and chips, pizza, burgers, loaded fries, hot dogs and more. Lots of parking and very well managed, just don't drive through the centre of Musselburgh, go round to the next A1 junction.
