After getting over the fact I'd not realised that the Epperston Restaurant had moved, I calmed down. It was my mistake. Table for two glass of bubbly. Lovely jubbly! Unfortunately every time the kitchen door opened we were in a wind tunnel. Mentioned, and back door shut temporarily. Three times the menus were blown away. Once our Tote lucky dips also blown away. (One small win if you're interested). The youngsters were friendly. The service was terrible. Ordered a bottle of the suggested wine. They did not have it. Fine if they hadn't waited until I complained 35 minutes in. Was given a complimentary bottle. Good service and they wouldn't have needed to! Table clearing was disgraceful. Our 2 champagne flutes went with the coffee cups at 5.45. Over 2 and a half hours after the meal finished. In fact the afternoon cheese board was served and they were still on the table.
