Review: Crystal Peaks - Sheffield Rating: âââââ
Crystal Peaks in Sheffield is a large shopping centre that hosts a wide range of retailers, from high street fashion brands to supermarkets and specialty shops. While it offers convenience and variety, the shopping experience could benefit from some improvements.
The array of stores available at Crystal Peaks is comprehensive, meaning you're likely to find what you need. Whether you're on a hunt for the latest fashion trends, doing a weekly grocery haul, or exploring home decor options, Crystal Peaks has a decent offering. The presence of a few eateries and cafes also provides decent options for a quick bite or a casual meal.
On the downside, the shopping centre can sometimes feel overcrowded, particularly during weekends and peak shopping times. The congestion not only makes shopping less enjoyable, but it can also lead to longer waiting times at checkout lines and limited seating availability in the food court.
The layout of Crystal Peaks could also be more user-friendly. Signage isn't always clear, which can make navigation slightly difficult for first-time visitors. Additionally, while the centre is generally clean, there have been instances where cleanliness in common areas, including restrooms, could have been better maintained.
The staff across the stores in Crystal Peaks are generally helpful and polite, though service can sometimes feel rushed during busier times.
Parking facilities are ample, although finding a spot can be a challenge during peak hours. Public transport links are good, with several bus lines stopping nearby, making it a fairly accessible location.
Overall, Crystal Peaks earns a 3-star rating. It serves as a one-stop-shop for many shopping needs, but it could definitely improve in terms of layout clarity, crowd management, and maintaining cleanliness...
Read moreAbsolutely disgusted at yesterday's event, I visited Crystal peaks for the first time as I am from Doncaster so me and my 11 week old son had travelled for a shopping day as I had heard good things about crystal peaks. After a while of browsing I discovered there was also a retail park so made my way to the lift to gain access to this next section. After browsing around and also visiting drake House I headed back to the lift to return to Crystal peaks for one last look around before returning to the car. I was horrified to find the lift I had taken to get to this point was now out of service. I was stranded. I wouldn't have a clue how to get back especially with having the pushchair, it this point I'm looking around in despair wondering what to do next. A passing woman, bless you whoever you are asked if I need a hand down the stairs, I really didn't want to say yes as she looked so elderly and fragile but what other choice did I have? I asked her to grab the front of the pushchair so I was the one bearing the weight and walking backwards down the stairs . I am horrified that there were no staff or security around to assis and I had to rely on an elderly lady passing to help me carry my pushchair, 11 week old baby and shopping down 2 flights of stairs. Will not be visiting again through fear of abandonment, my anxiety of going out with my baby has escalated thanks...
Read moreI have had my nails done at Pink Nails and Spa for quite a few months now, but after my experience last week I wonât be returning. I had my nails done by a lady who hasnât done my nails before. She was too busy interfering in other peoples nails so I was sat waiting. I showed her a picture of what I wanted my nails like and there was no issue. However, after carrying out the design I wanted, it was evident she could not do the design. I asked for a slight change and she responded very rudely and made a scene in front of everyone in the shop. I tried to explain multiple times why I was unhappy with my nails and what I wanted them like but she continued to speak over me. She then started talking about me to others, making me feel even more uncomfortable. She then started shouting at me again stating the same things, so I simply asked her to stop interacting with me as we was not understanding each other and it was distressing for me to be spoken to like that in front of everyone. I was then touched aggressively and had nails dug into me etc. I have heard of other situations like this from others. They also have their review section turned off on Facebook, which says it all. I will not...
