Very mixed review. The highlight was the biscuit and the elf who was really good with the kids.
The rest we had mixed feelings about it.
The bad was that we were asked to go at 8:45am and it didn't open untill 8:55am. Lots of waiting for the kids. There were two people greeting us at the door, but only one person sitting us. This required us to queue with our children on the stairs to get a seat. Not very safe.
We found out for the £6 entry for the adults you got small tea or coffee. So you paid double for a £3 one.
The craft packs were all different for the children. It looked like they were what they had left and the didn't have pencil sharpeners or water for paint and pencils.
The kids teacake and croissant breakfast was burnt with the worst side hidden on the plate. We had to send them back for a new one.
Santa was reasonably good, talking to the kids and did a nice story time with them. But when the story time was read the cafe staff decided to turn the cafe radio on so you overheard when trying to listen to the story.
The gifts they handed out were completely different and looked like it was just what they had left.
It was an exclusive event but they let members of the public in. One even came in the cafe asking for a coffee.
Overall it wasn't really worth the money and we won't be...
Read moreIt's getting more depressing every time I visit with so may shops closing.. Call to Sunderland to visit our only Bank in the area of the northeast (except Newcastle). Like everywhere Has care all closed down, don't want to pay staff they want the entire country to bank on line but if you want a large sun of cash you can't get that down the internet...IDIOTS. We pay the banks enough in banking fees yet if you want to be served On a bank they are all closed or the very small amount of staff you can find don't make life easy to get YOUR money out... Really bad HSBC. Sunderland... We went very early to the town centre this morning... There were more refugees than local people walking round. This is probably why more shops have closed down. Again landlord would rather have empty properly than reduce the rents on these empty shops.....Maybe their other job is bank managers. My city is in a very poor way no chance of work in this city for teenage s these days. Shop keeps still trying to be friendly and try to keep a smile on their faces.. tough life...
