Sheepfolds in Sunderland is an exciting new venue with plenty of charm, but it’s not without its drawbacks. However, one of the biggest frustrations is the lack of a public footpath bridge, which makes access more difficult than it should be.

When it comes to food, the options feel quite limited. You’re either grabbing a slice of pizza or committing to a full Italian or Asian meal—there’s little in between for those looking for a more balanced dining experience. In fact, after having one drink, we ended up getting an Uber elsewhere for food before returning later to meet friends for a few more drinks.

While the venue has a lot of potential, it still feels like it’s missing key elements to make it a truly well-rounded destination. Where do I start. One of the nicest places I've been in the North East. Old stable building renovated to such a high standard, its almost like a little village inside, with a huge covered seating area and stage. A few nice places to eat, drink and a dance studio. We came for the opening night and the atmosphere was great. Ate at Ember which was reasonably priced for incredible food and a view of the river from our table. Gorgeous place, stFf ate all super friendly,food is outstanding, and we've tried them all. A more upmarket chilled, vibe than the stack at roker the food is lso such better quality here. Foid to be enjoyed and experienced. Will deffo be back for an evening event. Can't wait fir the foot bridge to open to connect to the c ity centre. We parked near roker marina and had a beautiful walk past the glass centre. But due to the closure around the bridge works had to go up and cross at the bridge. Lovely experience and...
