Bruce Springsteen was amazing!!!! And that's what the 5 stars are for. In terms of value for money regarding the platinum package id give 2 out of 5 at most.
We'd had issues for days because the tickets hadnt been sent to our email, the hospitality number on safc website cuts you off every single time, and then the only-only way to communicate with anyone is through and assortment of email addresses on the website. You'd think for a gig of this size there'd be a lot of people manning the phone lines instead of the frustration of no one answering a single call. At one point I was going to drive an hour to the stadium just to sort it out face to face but luckily a nice lady email me back explaining there has been issues with the ticketing and they were being re-issued.
Out platinum package tickets were very expensive and not value for money. They described a meal before the gig, exclusive restaurant, free drinks x6 I think, and a leather padded seat for the gig.
Once we got into the stadium and walked up the stairs we were excited. We were pointed to the Montgomery Suite and walked in. It was massive and literally weren't told what to do as noone was at door. No one told us where to sit, how to get drinks, what the score was with food.
We asked someone at a table and they said sit anywhere, there's a lady walking about in white giving out drinks vouchers and there's a buffet table over the far side. So the platinum package was sit anywhere, search for vouchers, and have a buffet, and queue for ages at bar to get your drinks. It felt too big a room, with too many people, and not special for the way the platinum package was described - and the cost!
Then when the gig was about to start we went looking for our luxury, expensive, leather-bound seats to watch Bruce. Our perception was entirely different to the reality. They were just a regular footy seat with a spongy covering on, it was not bigger that any other seat and apart from a decent view of the stage nothing special at all.
The package was a let down sadly!
However last night, I went to the Boro and saw Take That and the staff there really treat you like a Boss!! Own seating plan, bar was easy, lovely food, just felt more personal.
Hopefully, for your next gig things may improve to make us feel a bit more special. And it wasn't just my group making these comments, a few people felt this way.
However, Bruce was amazing!!!!! And it was a cracking gig....
Read moreAttended an event in the James Herriot suite, was an absolute disaster from start to finish, cost nearly £1000 for 2 of us for a 3 course meal and concert as a special once in a lifetime treat. Staff didn't have a clue, left stood in the rain for 40 mins as they didn't know where we were meant to go despite having full A4 tickets with all details and a QR code on so were completely soaked before getting into the venue. The Canapes on arrival never appeared. The vegetarian starter was meant to be buffalo cauliflower, of which we were presented with a single floret of cauliflower, no sauce or garnish. The main was a piece of fish that came with 4 mange tout and 1 new potato cut into slices, fish was freezing cold and tasteless, the vegetarian pasta didn't turn up, I guess it was with the Canapes, The dessert was allegedly key lime pie, at least that's what the menu said, what they served was some shoddy and cheap bought in vanilla cheesecake with some lime zest on top, again. No cream/ice cream or anything to come with it. The post show snacks were an absolute insult to food. Somehow the 'chef' managed to fail to cook chips, I have no idea how they got them that wrong. The fish was a small piece of breaded non-descript processed fish that you'd buy from iceland, with half a spoon of mushy peas, no cutlery to eat them with though... The bar staff were a joke, I assume they just rounded a load of people of the street the morning of the gig, had no concept of how a bar works, a long wait on drinks despite there being 2 bar people and 2 running the drinks to tables. The whole event was an absolute embarrassment to everyone involved, and at no point did a single member of staff apologise or make any effort to make any amends to the situation, 2 older women with clipboards came in several times, I'll assume they are management, but they just made sarky comments to the staff who were struggling and walked off without having actually done anything to help the situation. The seats also had a really restricted view of the stage, for the money it was ridiculous, the stadium really need to actually employ someone in the world of event management
The whole experience was a bad joke
