On previous visits the seating had disappointed me, this morning's staff were brilliant, & with a big comfy seat for hubby (I brought my own btw :D), we were both very happy, film was excellent, I have a list of other viewings to tick off too: will definitely be returning! Keep up the good work Cineworld Shton-Under-lyne! 👏👏👏👏👏👏🎉🎉
Yes it's changed! For the better.
The only cinema within an half hours drive where a wheelchair dependent person and their family can visit together, and not have to leave with a stiff neck from looking upward at the screen. This is because we all viewed from upstairs via the lift & into our very own viewing space, similar to the VIP boxes at the old MEN arena, Old Trafford, football grounds & theatre boxes in general but not as exclusively private as a Royal box, lols😎 I've worked in the music business, but have always been a tad perdy😉 so had experienced thesr prior to working in said biz.
Daughter as well as hubby and I attended today to see Bob Marley One Love, all enjoyed the show😊
P.S. Cineworld Cinema Ashton the carpet in said area isn't really wheelchair friendly tbh, the pile could/should be shorter🙂.
Wow, just returned from watching the watched on screen 12, yes smaller screen and Mr Shyamalan's daughter's film, produced by the Main man himself. A much more enjoyable film than I'd expected, and my hubby liked it even more than I, I just thought the ending lacklustre and a little more zombie from the make up team than fairy/Changeling.
The screen wasn't unpleasant to view the film from the front♿space, other cinemas I have had to strain my neck to see properly, but here was fine, and not deafening audio either as elsewhere.
5☆ again, despite being downstairs today Cineworld, thank you very much for being a cut above!😎😍🤩😎
CINEWORLD saved the day last night, my theatre, the RET had been meant to be running a reworking of A Midsummer night's dream, based around the Manchester music scene in the Madchester years, my years lol having worked in that scene at that time, and having worked at the RET during refurbishment I thought it'd be a good show, unfortunately politicians got in the way and pulled the run due to the mention of Gaza in the reworked script.
Disappointed all dressed up and nowhere to go, we realised that James McAvoy in Speak No Evil was on at Cineworld in 20 minutes time, so off we went and I most definitely wasn't dissatisfied with the alternative plans for our evening.
Fabulous film, fabulous that we didn't miss a minute of it even after visiting the Cineworld shop for snacks and hubbys going to the loo, which he always does wherever we are, theatre & cinema as soon as we've been seated, restaurant after ordering! It's irritating, winds up the kids too, it's a good job I love him😍😎
Mahoossive Thanks for saving our night goes out to Cineworld and to James McAvoy again! Luvvie kisses mwah mwah😚👏👏👏 to James and the Cineworld team, keep up the good...
Read moreI used the 4dx facilities on this occasions to view the latest bond film, well worth a visit.the entrance hall has been refurbished. Food and drinks are available as is popcorn. Really modernised. Parking is no problem for all persons. Entrance as automatic doors for all to enter. We went into room 7, it as comfy seats that recline, with extended leg room. Again I used 4dx a glutton for punishment, to watch batman with Robert Pattinson. A different slant on batman and his foes. A good film but a mite to long. My son and grandson who were with me, loved 4dx, and the throwing about, I think they were watching me and not the film sometimes, especially on the car chase. Not to crowded either. However the previews were exciting, fantastic beasts and strange are coming, morphius also. Can I WAIT. Cineworly is going to be my favourite place over the coming month or so. How did she manage to persuade Eddie redmayne, probably one if not THE best current actor. In strange be ready for some surprise characters being in the mix, one line stands out, shall we tell him. The voice is like a thunder crack, and a couple who have not been seen for sometime. Engage. I have been back to cineworld and watched doc strange. You had to keep up with the world you were in. The seats have become comfier and more leg room. The front of the picture house as become less congested especially at the till area. And to have a cup of tea or coffee as become easy. Next one thor. I went there to watch black Adam, the film, with dwayne Johnson in. DC comics. DC now have the two biggest stars in their locker, Johnson and mamosa. It will be interesting to watch them both in any justice league film. A bit samey. They don t have a stan lee s humour. The pictures itself is high quality chairs with plenty of leg room, so you can move about without upsetting g someone. Nothing much changed, well worth a visit. Next visit guardians of the galaxy. Just been to see dungeons and dragons and John wick. Next visit guardians of the galaxy, they ve had a total refurbish. Well worth a visit if you like the rough and tumble of 4dx. Nothing changed except to say cineworld is in trouble worldwide. Nothing I know off as changed. Same as, well worth a visit. Also the cineworld card is worth it, percentages of...
Read moreWe visit Cineworld Ashton a lot, it's the nearest to home and it has free parking. Today my partner took my 12yo and his freshly 12yo mate who'd not seen each other for nearly a year to see a 12A film. This was the first proper time my son had been 'out' on his own and he was silently buzzing with his new responsibility.. My partner bought their tickets, drinks and snacks and waited in the foyer to check they got in OK. Which they didn't, as the staff wouldn't let them in because they accused them of not being 12.
My partner intervened and a manager came over to again accuse them of not being 12, she also started grilling them about their DOB and which school they went to. Which she didn't believe and she singled my son out (who is the oldest of the pair by nearly a year) as definitely not being 12. Neither of them are very tall, my son especially, and she made the pair of them feel like criminals. My son was visably shaking at this point as he didn't understand what was happening and was scared about the situation unfolding. I understand that the staff have to ensure that age certifications are adhered to, and my lad and his mate couldn't realistically provide a driving license or passport to prove their adherence, but to publicly show them up like this when they'd verbally provided their DOB and school name, and furthermore the actual legal guardian of one of them was stood there after buying them tickets to a 12A and therefore giving his permission for them to watch it without parental attendance was out of order. The manager allowed them in eventually, but only after my partner had to just stop short of drawing blood, and both kids were both shaken up by it, and her parting shot was to tell them to not cause any trouble.. 2 smaller than average kids quivering about the confrontation and scared to go any further , stood there complying with all the rules, with face masks on and their milkshakes and snacks and she insinuates they're going to cause trouble when there's a massive intimidating group of kids not much older, outside giving zero sh1ts about social distancing or covid rules. Not cool. Thanks for ruining my boys first independent social experience of...
