This review is aimed at the customer service in the store. As far as products go, Cavenders is great.
I really don’t know where to begin or how to begin, but the customer service here is terrible. Piss poor attitudes a lot of times, have had people that are rude and look like they’re miserable being there, and have had people argue about whose commission is what right in front of me on multiple occasions.
I’d give myself the commission if I could because the bickering among some of the drama filled employees is insane.
My wife was holding my 6 month old son and her purse accidentally knocked a small pair of boots over. Three employees sat there and looked at her like she was the biggest inconvenience in the world and didn’t stoop to help. I’ve worked retail and get certain customers being a pain, but it’s irritating to walk into a store that in some way represents Texas values and a way of life founded on being a decent person with some sort of manners, and no one cares about anything except their commission.
Granted, I’ve had some awesome people who are super helpful and a pleasure to be around. They don’t seem to stay long. The drama filled ones seem to stay the longest.
If boot barn gets good employees, well, I think you’ll have to reconsider many things related to how y’all treat customers. Shoot, for 80 dollar shirts, 60 dollar belts, 60 dollar jeans, 250 dollar boots, and a 10 dollar air freshener, I would hope customer service would be good....
Read moreOnce again greatly disappointed with Cavender's. Last year we went in to get my husband boots for our daughters wedding and received no service. So, last night he had to replace his boots for work and we decided we would give them one more chance. I have to say nothing had changed except maybe a couple of new faces. We were there for almost an hour and even tried to get help but everyone was far to busy. A few were working but everyone else was to busy chatting it up with each other. These young people need to be taught the art of service because what they are doing is running your business down. They are all "cute" but cute doesn't pay the bills. Get someone in there who knows how to work. 2 or 3 pulling clothes, 2 holding the counter down, 1 sweeping & 1 back at the streamer. Oh, let's not forget the young man who was chatting up the young ladies holding down the counter. Last year we went to another western wear store and we are going back there today. We will not be back at Cavender's nor will I ever tell any to go to your store. I wish I could be giving a good review but this was a terrible experience. I even hate having to...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I went here on Wednesday at 5:30. When we walked in the lady at the front was very bothered that we had come in, I’m assuming because they closed in 30 minutes. She did greet us but not in a welcoming tone. We were lucky to have Haley help us, because her customer service was stellar. She was personable and would check in with us and see if we needed anything. At time of checkout, the cashier asked who had helped us and we could no longer find the the lady that had helped us, but I gave the cashier a description and that was fine. However, after checking out I was able to find the lady that had helped us and so I went to go tell the cashier to make sure that she got the right person, and she just looked over at me with no acknowledgment and continued what she was doing with another coworker. Then, Haley informed us that there was a rebate that the cashier never once mentioned...nor did she offer a box for my boots. It took Haley having to come back up and essentially do the cashiers job for her. When you’re spending $200+ at a store, you certainly expect better...
