Obviously, the new store manager at the Abilene, TX Kohl's was not paying attention when the last manager briefed them on the process of checkouts on Black Friday!!! In the past, it was crowded but it moved right along and Everyone associate was courteous and pleasant. THIS YEAR WAS DIFFERENT!!! Associates were unprepared on how to handle the high capacity crowds - let alone the process of check out. We were directed by several employees to get into this line or that line.....There was no line - later to be told to moved to another line....3 TIMES.... It was apparent there was no leader in charge. In the past, there was a leader in full view and handling issues. This year, only employees that couldn't make a decision. The clerks running the checkout computers were stressed and under trained (the one I got had an attitude and should be fired for it). Had it not been for a Supervisor who came to her/my rescue, the entire transaction would have been dumped in an isle. It amazes me that someone "in charge" could allow this. If Kohl's invites you to their store, they should be prepared to accommodate you. MAYBE EVEN...
Read moreI was in the Abilene kohl’s store yesterday and it was very busy. I do know how busy this time of year is and how short handed stores are. At this time they had one clerk, one customer service clerk and one for Amazon clerk. I got in line and was 8th in line. As the clerk that was checking out customers worked she was taking very line because of you continuing conversation and comments. I know people talk and greet customers that’s in their training but some comments can take place in different places. She was very loud and her comments about the President and V0resident of out country were very disturbing. Comments about their health and abilities. I understand all about out freedom of speech and I also know Texas is a Republican state BUT not all Texans are Republican. I I’m also an educator and it’s hard enough teaching the respect for our country, our President and our laws to young without hearing it loudly from a store clerk as you’re checking out. I love shopping at Kohl’s will continue to do so but I just wanted to let you know. I did make a comment to the service clerk that was very nice...
Read moreI never have a good experience here at this location. The store is usually very crowded with merchandise that has yet to be added to a rack. The racks are usually overfilled and messy. The pricing is never right. The variety of selection decreases each time I come in and I have yet to meet a friendly associate here. As a retail manager, I expect certain things such as associate friendliness but this store never has that. The associates are usually on their phones when on the floor. The ones at the register are always gathered and gossiping. When you do check out, they don't even stop their conversation to say one word to you. I assume they have a harder time meeting credit card goals because I have never been asked about one while there because, they are always in a conversation. When there is a pricing issue, I have been told "that's your problem, not ours" before. Then was denied talking to a manager because "they were too busy." So, I hate coming in here but they carry a brand that I can't find anywhere else. However, even that is almost cleared out now. I don't recommend...
