Hampton Inn Abingdon — Hotel in Abingdon

We booked this hotel for two nights and had high hopes because the hotel looked clean and nice. The first night we stayed we had to move rooms at midnight because rooms on both sides of ours were screaming and hitting the walls and out in the hallways yelling, we called downstairs for 15 minutes and got no answer finally we walked down stairs and no one was at the desk but finally came out from the back. Thankfully the young man was nice and moved our room with no issue but the following night we also could barely sleep in the new room from people yelling outside that floor also. Then as we were checking out the lady at the desk tried to recharge my card a second time for our stay when they had already charged me as soon as I got there the first night. I showed her where it had already came out of my account and she said that was fine I didn’t need to do anything else, well as we left and went to get in the car she tried to charge my other card on file for the room again. After we had just spoke about all of this. We will never stay here again sadly....

This is a beautiful new hotel. We enjoyed our stay very much. Our room was comfortable and inviting. The beds and pillows were comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. The bathroom was well stocked with bath products and clean crisp towels.

We did checkout very early the next morning and were given breakfast to go. The coffee was fresh and hot.

So where in does our trouble lay. We never got our our Hilton Honors Points for our stay. As a matter of fact we never got a receipt until we complained about the points. We booked our room online through the Hilton Honors app. Our stay according to the app was canceled; not true. The pictures of our room are even attached.

When we finally got a receipt in December for our November stay. It shows us arriving at 7:39 pm @ night (which is correct). However, our checkout time is 5:40 am the same day (don't know how we went back in time). I so want to leave 5 stars; but, have tried a couple of times to get this fixed. Can somebody please fix this mess and give us the points for the stay that we kept and...

This is a new hotel as it was built about one year ago. There was an earlier one a short distance away but torn down as part of road construction.

The hotel was neat and clean. It is a very short distance from the interstate so easy to get to. There were plenty of towels and wash clothes in the bathroom. The beds were comfortable.

The attendant at the front desk was very helpful. Using the internet and the Hilton App has made checking in very quick and easy—at least in most cases.

There was plenty of parking in front of the hotel. Breakfast was included and there was a good selection that included oatmeal, bananas, English muffins, several varieties of fruit muffins, as well as coffee.

The eating area was also very neat and clean.

We did hear noise in the room from the room above us. In fact, their alarm clock woke me up at about 6:15. No idea of all rooms would have that problem or if it was just bad luck in this instance.

Overall, it was a very good experience ad a good place to choose for a night...
