Delicious food, fast service, beautiful restaurant, and great atmosphere, and both the waitress and the hosts are amazing. It's behind the scenes where all the issues are. The owner is good with customers and gets involved with the community, but if only he treats his employees the same way. He verbally abuses us and cheats on our paychecks. The female employees are especially treated poorly as the male chef would go for days without showing up for work without notice or calling in and get away with it, but the women are yelled at even if they are a few minutes late. He has a few "favorites" to pick on too. I understand and appreciate a strict boss who just wants his business to be successful and everything to work smoothly, but he seems to think the world revolves around his restaurant. Please respect that your employees are human beings, not your slaves. The waitress makes good tips, but it's not worth the unpleasant work environment, and all the other employees rely strictly on a paycheck. Multiple people have quit because of the treatment and paycheck issues. I was warned my first day and everyone here can testify getting their paycheck shorted. My co-workers are awesome, but someone needs to stand up. Yes, the food is fantastic (best Italian I've ever had) and the owner is charming, but please think of the people who work here and how we are treated. Please do not support this restaurant. No one deserves to be treated...
Read moreService was fine. Didn't go without anything we needed. More of a diner service feel than a sit down italian restaurant. Started with garlic knots, they were just stuffed yeast rolls but still tasty. The cheese inside of them wasn't all the way melted. Then my salad came, standard bagged iceberg lettuce with some cheap Shredded cheese on top. Dressing not homemade. The pasta was definitely homemade, but mostly ruined by a large ladle of oddly spiced watery tomato sauce. Wife's ravioli were also homemade, but we paid an extra 3$ for "creamy sauce" that was just that spiced tomato sauce with a dash of heavy cream. Decided that maybe pasta wasn't there thing and ordered a chicken Alfredo pizza to go. Unseasoned chicken breast, with unseasoned Alfredo sauce, on a really well baked and proper dough. Ratings do not match what we experienced. Place wouldn't make it a year in a town any larger than this. Do not recommend for tourists/travelers.
edit changed rating to 1 star due to owners response. Clearly deranged person who gets triggered at honest feedback. Never said your restaurant sucked. Your rating just doesn't match the experience. Glad the locals love your American Italian restaurant. Speaking with you in person about your lasagna soup wouldn't have...
Read moreParty of 4 greeted at the door by the hostess upon entering, we were told thereâs only a tight booth available in the back corner for a group of 4. We said we would give it a shot and she proceeded to look us up and down and insist the booth was small. After some more back and forth she stated we were tall and there was no leg roomâŚnice save. We shouldâve left at this point. I then said our party could split up and take the two open booths directly in front of the entrance. After being seated I noticed almost every table had someone sitting at the end of their table or pulled apart booths because of tight seating. I understand the desire to seat as many tables as possible for profit, but maybe consider a reevaluation of table arrangement for customer comfort because the food, staff and atmosphere all add to the customer experience. That said, the food was tasty but 3 out of 4 of our dishes were cold and one of our tables didnât receive the bread with their pasta dishes as indicated on the menu. I was unaware of this until after we left the restaurant and âreunitedâ or I would have simply asked the waitress for it. The interior is beautiful and authentically created with a nice selection of music videos playing for all tastes and viewable to...
