Part One: Generally, Love Delta Blues. Think tonight was just an off night for them. Ordered two Memphis burgers one with chip fries, the other regular fries with Cajun seasoning. Ended up with regular fries on both platters. Not a big deal and both sets of fries tasted great! Still, I went back up to the counter and ordered chip fries for no other reason than I just really wanted them. Cashier offered to fix my order, but since I was munching on both orders of fries already, I didn't care to pay for what I wanted. Part 2: Food tasted Great...but I will say the bun on one of the burgers, at least the entire outer rim or edge of the bun, was as hard as a brick and totally inedible. Had to break off most of the bun. Not the end of the world, but still. The other burger bun was stiff, but not a brick. I was hungry and it got eaten, so I forfeit being picky on that one. When I finally got my chip fries, roughly 1/2 were broken down little pieces of overcooked leftover flakes of chips that I didn't even bother with. A waste of money and a letdown. Part 3: Had a to go order. 10 chicken wings and fries. Took it to a family member. She bit into the first piece of chicken and never went back for a second bite. Chicken can have dried blood or a vein at times, no big deal. But there was a substantial amount of red on the meat, much more than would be considered normal. Looked like the outside was flash baked but inside not done well enough. She tore apart 3 more wings and they looked the same. She ended up eating the fries for dinner (which were good) but wouldn't touch the wings. Again, Love Delta Blues and the atmosphere, staff and generally the food. This experience was abnormal. We will try them again at some point down the road. However, this visit was sadly a...

Abingdon isn't on any BBQ destination maps, but I do applaude Delta Blues for bringing this style of Que to a small town.

I had the 3 meat platter with jalapeno sausage, brisket, and burnt ends. Along with mac & cheese and bbq baked beans for sides. The sausage was tasty, good flavor with light smoke. The brisket tasted ok but my flat slices were a bit dry, unfortunately. Burnt ends are a craft and there are many different interpretations on how to serve them. With that said, these weren't my favorite rendition. They weren't bad at all, don't misread! The mac & cheese were nice and gooey, the bbq baked beans had some spice and lots of flavor.

The other two in my party had a brisket sandwich, the other burned ends platter. But enjoyed theirs, and raved about the fries.

Overall we were happy, don't misread anything above! This is a great place to have in Abingdon, hope it sticks around a long time!

The atmosphere was great! Live music upstairs when we visited, it wasn't too loud downstairs. Staff was super nice and making plenty of rounds to make sure everyone had what...

My family and I were driving through on vacation and I did takeout from Delta Blues. Staff was very friendly, service was prompt (especially considering how busy they were), and the food was amazing. My wife would give the Blues burger 4 stars for great flavor but the meat was more on the well side. The pulled smoked chicken was some of the best I've ever had, and the smoked jalapeno sausage was phenomenal.

The sides really stood out to me. The chips and blue cheese dip was very good, the green beans and Mac and cheese were solid, the baked beans were ok (a bit too sweet for me), and the broccoli salad was amazing. However, the star of the show was the loaded baked potato salad. Best potato salad I've ever had, hands down. I look forward to driving through Abingdon again so I...

I went there on a Saturday for lunch and got a 2 meat tray with brisket and pulled pork. They were out of the two sides I wanted, collards and baked beans, so I got Coke slaw and okra. The brisket had good flavor and a good cook, but the portion was very small (1-1/2 slices). The pulled pork was cooked properly but had no flavor, or sauce, so it needed help to give it any taste. The okra was undercooked and over breaded, and the Coke slaw was fine but nothing special. The atmosphere is nice and the staff were working hard to keep the dining area clean. I’ll try them again in hopes that they improve. Update: I went back for dinner on a Thursday and they were out of what I wanted to eat, both the meat and sides, so I left disappointed.

I was driving north and I wanted to be sure to stop and enjoy one more plate of BBQ. I searched the area and chose Delta. The service was super friendly super nice . The bbq didn't disappoint. The ribs were falling off the bone good and the chicken was really nice . I took it to go, it was packed to travel perfectly. Next time I'll try to catch a show And sit in for a better experience
