I cannot express my gratitude enough for the incredible work done by Mireni in the week leading up to my wedding. Mireni truly came to my rescue in a last-minute situation. After months of collaboration with a different seamstress, the unimaginable happened just five days before my wedding when the original seamstress returned my wedding dress, having inexplicably cut the bodice so low that my cleavage was exposed. I was heartbroken and in a panic, as my dress was unwearable in that state and I had spent thousands of dollars already.

When a relative recommended Mireni, I was instantly reassured that she would salvage the situation. Mireni skillfully located spare material within the dress and resewed the bodice, restoring it to the beautiful gown I had envisioned. What's more, she accomplished this feat within the tight timeframe of just five days, ensuring that I could happily wear the dress I had invested in for my wedding day.

Mireni's talent, commitment, and swift action transformed a potential disaster into a dream come true. My experience was disappointing. I brought two dresses that needed hemming and alterations to the bodice. I was assured that five weeks was more than enough time to complete the alterations in time for a family wedding. Payment was required in advance. The cost was almost twice what I paid to purchase the dresses. The work was not ready on time for my appointment and I was asked to return in one more week. When I went for the next appointment, one hem was not complete and additional changes to the bodice on one dress was needed. With only four days until my son’s wedding, the owner kindly offered to finish in one day; however, the next day, the hem on one dress was still uneven and the shoulder alteration on the under-slip of the other dress was not right. I was able to fix the shoulder on one dress myself, but didn’t feel comfortable wearing the other dress. It was my first experience with this seamstress and I was hopeful that I would be pleased with her services, given many good reviews. I brought my bridesmaids dress to Mireni to take in a couple weeks before my sister's wedding this past June.

The dress was too long and too big on the top, so it needed to be hemmed and taken in on the sides and the straps shortened.

Not only did she charge me $320 for this (more than double what any of the other bridesmaids paid to get theirs tailored), the quality of her work was extremely unsatisfactory. The morning of the wedding, the mother of the groom had to do an emergency tailoring to take in the straps because Mireni only took in the sides and didn't shorten the straps at all, so the top did not fit me properly.

I would not recommend Mireni's Tailoring unless you like being overcharged for less than mediocre work.
