Atlantic Sea Grill — Restaurant in Acton

Today we had one of the worst dining experiences that we have ever had at Atlantic Sea Grill. We had reservations for 6pm, and were seated immediately. Great! It then took 10-15 minutes for someone to come by and ask if we'd been helped for drinks. It was busy, so no big deal. We were then able to order our appetizers and food. Appetizers came out in 10-15 minutes. After that, we waited over an hour until we spoke up about our food not being done yet. We had seen multiple other tables whom came after us be served before us. The "manager"(who we believe to be the owner) came out with attitude and explained that it was busy and that it would take some time on busier days. He then asked what he could do for us, and we just asked to get us our food. 5 minutes later our food comes out. The fries, rice, and vegetable sides were all room temp or cold. The burger we ordered medium came well done, but the food wasn't bad at all, quite nice actually. We finished eating and were going to pay but wanted to talk to the "manager" one more time about our experience. He came over and very rudely asked "What's the problem now?" and we explained that one of our dishes was wrong, and that given the circumstances and based on our past working in the food industry, that we think that they should do something for us. He then called us "irrational and crazy" then told us to never come back. All over them messing up. Other people who were in our area left after seeing how this supposed manager was treating people. My father, my boyfriend and I decided to try this place out last night (New Year's eve). I called in the morning to make a reservation and was told they only take reservations for parties of 5 or larger. So we just headed down there in the evening. When we first walked in there was no one at the hostess stand. A few employees stood in the back area just looking at us. The hostess finally appeared and I asked if we were to seat ourselves seeing we haven't been helped. She snapped back saying she was only one person. Then she came back a few minutes later and asked us how many were in our party. I replied three. She said there was going to be a half hour to a hour wait for a party of three. Half the restaurant was empty, tons of open tables and waitresses just standing around... didnt add up but okay. We noticed the bar had open seating as well so we just sat down there. The bartender (LJ) was the ONLY reason we stayed at this restaurant. She did her best to make us feel welcome even though she was extra busy taking care of everything the other employees were slacking on. As we sat at the bar, another party of three walked in. They were graciously seated and had no wait. This irritated me, why would they have no wait but we were told 30-60 min? Definitely doesn't seem right if you ask me. Let's first understand the turn of events before I write this review. First half of Acton didn't have power due to a lovely March storm that dropped 18" of terribly heavy snow. Second, it was Friday during Lint and were talking fish people. Ok, with that being said, let's start. There was good amounts of parking when arriving. After stepping into the restaurant, there was a huge line. While checking in and asking wait time, which was 20 mins, I couldn't find a seat to wait. I ended up having to wait in the breezeway of the exterior and interior doors. After some time, I was able to wait inside, and eventually get a seat in the waiting area, which I gave up for an elderly couple. I continuously heard the hostess tell everyone that the wait time was 20 minutes, which was a lie. Maybe something that management tells them to say. Wait time was by far not 20 minutes, but 45 mins. Ended up getting a table close to the door, which was freezing. They really need to add a glass panel there. Drinks were good and came quick. However the appetizers took over an hour to make it to the table. They were heavenly and presented well. There was still a long wait on the salad that came with the meal and then the meal itself. The food was amazing. Perfectly seasoned, temperature, and presentation. I would like to try this restaurant again when there isn't so...
