Today, for the second time, the same older gentleman was stocking candy shelves that were quite full, but likely doing so as they were slow when I entered. Upon coming up to check out, there were two total employees stocking shelves that were quite full and again, the busy work to keep efficient use of work hours, which I understand.
However, although two self checkouts, I was one of 5 customers who entered around the same span of a moment and neither employee greeted us nor offered to ring up the other patrons who may not have wanted to use self check out or needed an item behind the counter. In addition, the first self check out was beeping with notices it cannot function until an employee cleans out the coupon bin; an alert both employees saw and heard but did not address.
The second of the two machines was acting up and claimed misread weight when an item shifted in the bag when loaded, prompting need for a cashier. The older gentleman did not address until I approached him mere feet away and visible to me and the check out, to which he simply called for another employee on the PA and returned to stocking. Really???
After 30 seconds, I felt prudent to begin counting as there is a capable cashier watching me wait for assistance while his coworker is nowhere to be seen. After over 2 minutes of waiting while this man stocks shelves in front of me 5 feet away, the coworker starts the machine up and begins to walk away until I asked she please wait while I ring my total of 5 small items in the span of 30 seconds so that if the machine acts up again, I don't need to call her back.
After the transaction was successful, she simply walked away and neither employee addressed the two waiting customers in line and the woman actually advised them that they can simply wait and use the self check out as she again disappeared to stock a full item near the back of the store.
I like this store, I do, but this was the evening of July 31st around 3pm. As a former manager who had quality candidates waiting to be hired, I can say you are risking loss of business if this is how the employees now conduct themselves. Both are not employees I've ever seen in the past, so perhaps they are new, but if people don't risk being the jerk and speak up about these situations, such behaviors will continue and continue to hurt your business.
Thank you for taking the time to read my comments and aside from tonight's exchange, I've always had EXCELLENT experience with this location and its...
Read moreI go to this CVS location often sometimes a few days in a row and I have never once had a bad experience. The staff is always so friendly, and helpful if I have any questions. The store is always clean. Occasionally there are deals if you are signed up for CVS rewards. Sometimes they are out of stock of items I needed but as the old saying goes you snooze you lose, (I’m not an early bird). I would recommend this CVS location and based on every trip I’ve made to this location I give 5 stars based on the friendly staff, available help, low wait times in line, and cleanliness of the store. In my opinion if you are the type of person that would leave low star reviews over the prices that isn’t fair to the management and staff because they have zero control...
Read moreWent to CVS pharmacy for first time with new prescription. Pharmacist stated that it would be filled in 15 minutes and would call when done which never did receive a call. Went back 20 minutes later it was done and cost $133.00. I was told of no discounts to reduce price just asked if I had a CVS card I did not said to push the no refuse. When I got home and looked up the drug because of the cost andCVS participates with 3 different discount cards that reduce the price to $49.95 for the prescription. How inconsiderate and disrespectful by a healthcare professional not to make me aware of this since it was a new prescription and I had never dealt with their...
