My wife and I both loved our experience at Grand Avenue Grille in Mars. My wife's one sentence review, "this is my favorite breakfast place that we have gone to so far." The ambiance inside feels like a small town diner. Despite florescent lights, it's not too bright, and it feels nice and comfy inside. The menu is pretty big; there are a lot of options here. The prices are nearly half what I am used to paying. For instance, an omelet is between $5.75 and $7.00 from their cheapest to most expensive omelettes. I'm use to paying $10+ for an omelet anywhere else. I went with Country Fried Steak and Eggs from the Main Line menu. It was $8. I will admit, the portion of steak was rather small, but the plate filled me up and was delicious. The potatoes were perfect. The sausage gravy was outstanding. And other than it's small size, I loved everything about the steak. My wife had the French Flyer, which is a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich between two pieces of french toast. She loved it, and I loved the bite I stole from her. This place will definitely be in my rotation from now on.

I was in Mars, PA to check out the Giant UFO that is in the middle of the town. After being in awe of the man made UFO I was hunger & craving coffee. Right across the street was The Grand Avenue Grille. It definitely had that down home, mom & pop dinner feel, which is totally my jam. It’s a cozy lil’ dinner that is very popular with the locals. We walked in and sat ourselves at an available table. Seating options are table booths or at the counter. Our waitress came over and greeted us warmly, gave us our menus & took our drink orders. The menu was simply awesome! Packed with western PA comfort food & the prices were stunningly affordable!! Shortly after she returned with our drinks the took our order. The entree sizes were nice and big for an awesome price. I enjoyed every bite of my omelette, unbelievably tasty. My coffee was nice, hot and refreshed when our waitress stopped to check on us. I absolutely loved this place! I strongly recommend you stop and dine here. After go check out the awesome UFO across the street.

I love this place, I go here all of the time. Unfortunately, on the way home from eating here today I discovered a bedbug on me. We do not have bedbugs in our home or our car. I spent all day cleaning and verifying there was no infestation where I live. I noticed more flies in the restaurant than usual but that generally doesn’t bother me. I hope Grand Avenue Grille identifies and treats their pest problem before more people bring home bedbugs too, they’re no joke!

I have been eating here regularly (2 times a week) for well over a year and this is the deal.

These people do their very best to keep the quality of food first. And second keep prices down. Like all other restaurants it's hard to find quality workers.

I feel sorry that people have had one bad experience and trash the place. For instance today it took about an hour to get my meal. The reason is two big groups came in ahead of me. I'm talking about 10 in one group and about 15 in the other. That's huge to a small place like this.

A long wait has happened to me twice in over a year. I'm certainly happy I didn't give up on them after the first or this last time. It would have been a giant loss to me if I did. These people work very hard to feed us. Give them a break or it will be your loss in the long hall.

Places like this are hard to find. I'm glad the overwhelming majority of you people reviewing...
