The kids love the train rides on Fridays when we are available; they are donation-based via cash or paypal. The volunteers are always welcoming and kind. There were train related toys and such to occupy the children while they waited their turn. You are also able to walk through various buildings and look at items that reflect the history of Mars.

This is the neatest historical society. My kiddos learned about early communication by calling each other on rotary phones and sending actual telegraphs. There is a caboose set up for imaginative play with plenty of hands on items. But my kiddos favorite part was the train ride. It's a one of a kind experience and we will be sure to be back.

Super fun place! We are visiting from the Seattle Tacoma area. This was a treat to see some of the history from this beautiful area. My kids had a great time using some of the old tech from the 1920's and 1950's!

Really enjoyed my visit. Lots of local and railroad history and artifacts. Small train that the children really enjoyed riding. Even has a tunnel with a surprise. There's a small gift shop and if it's a good Friday you just might spy a Martian here and there. Looks like there's a lot of local historical memorabilia that could be displayed if they had more storage space for the necessary tools and equipment. A...
