My family has been customers of Inland Sales and Service almost since they opened their doors, and in the past we have always been very pleased with their work and prices. A few months ago, I took my truck in for repairs. We paid around $3,000 to have the front and rear brakes completely rebuilt, a U-joint replaced, and other work done. Around 3 weeks later, I made my regular 1 hour drive into Spokane for work. When I hit the city limits, I started hearing very concerning noises in my rear brakes. By the time I got to work, it was clear I had a major issue: the bolts holding one of the rear brake calipers on were gone. Since the brakes had just been done and were under warranty, I called Inland Sales and they sent a tow truck to haul my truck back to the shop for repairs. I lost the entire day of work. No apologies were made for what seemed to be negligence on their part- apparently the bolts hadn't been tightened and just fell out. Um, what? Fast forward a few weeks. I was on my way to a work day 136 miles away, when 80 miles from home, driving at 70mph on I-90, my truck started to shake out of control. It took well over an hour driving at 10mph to get to a small town where I could get a tow back to Inland Sales. The tow truck driver crawled under the truck, and immediately saw the problem: the new U-joint that Inland Sales had recently replaced was missing its cover. It was also very evident that someone had used a hammer pretty hard on the U-joint and had hit the driveline in multiple spots, which explained the vibration I had been feeling since the original work was done on the truck- someone beat on it hard enough to knock it out of balance. The driveline and U-joint were toast. I lost another day of work, and my truck was back at Inland Sales for several days getting repairs. They replaced the driveline with a used, not new driveline, which seemed like Inland Sales trying to save a few bucks. As it was all under warranty, the repairs and $530 tow truck bill were covered. Here's my issue: it should have been fixed the first time. I was told it wasn't due to a new mechanic, and they weren't sure what had happened. I'd never needed a tow truck in my life, and then had to be towed twice in less than a month, both times due to issues stemming from Inland Sales' work. They covered the two tows, but I lost two days of work, went without my vehicle for several days (no rental was offered), and the apologies from Inland Sales were pretty minimal. My truck is finally operating as expected, but I'm seriously paranoid and I'm pretty upset with Inland Sales. I'm not sure if we'll be going back. Most people would probably say we would be crazy to take the...

Read moreI normally do all of the routine maintenance on my truck on my own. Well, the last oil change I had done was while I was traveling through Oklahoma. I had a Chevy dealer change my oil. When I went to change the oil for the next scheduled change, I noticed the drain plug looked a little chewed up. My wrenches wouldn't grab onto the bolt. They'd just spin. I tried using bolt extractors and the bolt wouldn't budge. I called Capitol Chevy and they said if they can't get it off, they were going to charge me $900 for a new lower oil pan. At this point I decided to try inland sales and service. They informed me that their schedule was full and they were going to try to get to it before the weekend, this was a Thursday. After trying to get the drain bolt off themselves, the oil pan was bending. They called and said they would have to replace the oil pan, but it was 1/3 of the price that Chevrolet quoted me. I gave them the go ahead. They called a few hours later saying my truck was fixed.
TLDR; Chevy torqued on my oil drain plug and they fixed it.
My experience with Inland Sales and Service was nothing but amazing. They're extremely professional, fair priced, honest, knowledgeable, and quick. If I need any more major work done this will be the only shop I allow to touch my...
