The Village Tavern — Restaurant in Airway Heights

🍹 Cute little place, aptly named. Casual, low-key, comfortable, tavern. 👟 The bartender was quick, friendly, and made a good drink. 🚱 Definitely a "locals" hangout with several frequent flyers. 🦇🦇 Many of whom are more than happy to tell you so. 😄 I walked in on Karaoke night. 🎤 (Unintentionally) Thankfully it wasn't as painful as I'd have assumed it would be. 🎶 That's not to say everyone could carry a tune, it just really contributed to the friendly atmosphere. 🎱 🎯 People played darts, pool, & sang as I watched perched on my stool. I arrived around 11:30PM, 🌜I had no shortage of company with which to visit, ordered one potent $10 dollar drink (🗑️A Trashcan, a favorite of mine from back in the day.) If I could rate negative stars I would. Came in with a friend to have a couple beers. We immediately start getting harrassed by a group of regulars (given that the bartender knew their names) and continued the whole time we were there. Gave looks and even asked the bartender to do something and all she did was shrug. Bartenders are supposed to make sure their patrons are safe and having a good time, she did neither of those things. The regular crowd that comes through here are stinky hicks anyways and your money is better...

If you enjoy someone yelling out "WHAT THE FK" constantly then this is the place for you. If not find another place. There are many good folks who come into the VT, but they should not be subjected to someone coming up to them and suddenly yelling out "WHAT THE FK". He does it to you when you are trying to sing on karaoke nights and also always seems to add the word "f**k" into the lyrics of any song he sings.
