As a first time custom PC build customer, I was overall satisfied with Eagle River Electronics. The owner was very knowledgeable in helping me decide what build parts to use based off of the high performance I was looking for. The owner is a literal PC wizard and can answer most any question you may have. The turn around time from making a parts list to having the build complete was about two weeks as he had projected and the final product performance was very satisfactory. As of the writing of this review, I have been using my new machine heavily for just over a month with zero issues and I couldn’t be happier. The performance of the finished product and the interactions with the owner/builder are deserving of a 5 star review, however, I am giving a 4.5 due to (1) some minor but noticeable scratches on the case from either shipping or building prior to pickup and (2) that his shop was rather cluttered and dirty (I had to give the machine a thorough cleaning to get the pet hair from the shop dog out the case and components). He does offer a build warranty. All that being said, I highly recommend Eagle River Electronics for any technical/electronics consulting and/or repair as the owner is very knowledgeable...

My refurbished Dell XPS laptop had been struggling with battery issues for years, and it was finally time to do something about it. In the past, I've always ventured into Anchorage for electronics repair, so I was thrilled to discover a local shop right here in town: Eagle River Electronics.

From start to finish, Justin was kind, professional, and incredibly helpful. He was completely transparent about the repair and battery replacement costs. Once the new battery arrived, the service itself took less than 10 minutes! What truly amazed me was that the total cost was even less than if I had simply ordered a replacement battery myself.

And as an added bonus, I got to meet Chonk, the shop dog!

If you're looking to support someone who is a master at their craft and genuinely cares about providing solid customer service at an affordable price, I cannot recommend Eagle River...

Having visited Eagle River Electronics (ERE) twice, I am impressed. Justin, the proprietor and technician, is fluent in computer repair and has a variety of fairly priced custom computers for sale, ranging from entry level to serious gaming. The "Electronics" part of the business name is apt. Not only does Justin repair computers, he also replaces phone and tablet screens, and can recylcle your obsolete electronics. He is articulate, patient, and polite. As a long-time computer builder myself, I know that ERE's offerings are solid. Their prices also beat the big city specialist shop prices handily.
