Update 7/30/2023 i love businesses that pay attention to their customers, thanks for your response. I gave it another go, ordered a dozen and shared them at work. They are beautiful and you definitely have your niche. Seems like something I'd goto in a tourist location. The donuts are uniquely decorated, something I'd bring small kids to and enjoy with ice-cream. They would love it. The worm on the chocolate iced one was a nice touch. I like that it's local, veteran owned and this time the service was much better. So for all these reasons I think its worth at least a 4 out of 5. Unfortunately the actual donut isn't the best. I also got an apple fritter and it was just ok. The niche is great for kids but I wouldn't get them for work again. And the cost was 1/3 more expensive than other donut places that I like better. So for the general donut day splurge, its not for me. But I may bring grandchildren here for a special donut and ice-cream. Then I'll give back to the parents all sugared up.

Previous review: When they start baking good donuts I'll give them another try.

Update: Ha, I stand corrected!! Its great when the business responds. I'll give it...

Passing through Eagle River and kids asked for a donut. We have a long history of consuming donuts from all of the different states we’ve traveled to, so a bit of connoisseurs here. These guys are also open on Sunday till 4pm. And let me tell you: incredibly delicious donuts from a family owned business, all of the frosting is homemade and not too sweet, yet flavorful. Sometimes donuts have the stale oil taste, but not these- super fresh and fluffy. Jason’s donuts across the street is a different kind of good, but these guys are better.

We also tried their fireweed milk tea -very refreshing and delicious, and fireweed mochi donuts were perfectly soft and chewy, with a perfect crunch in the crust. It was our first time trying mochi donuts and now we will love these forever. Flora and her daughter were there and made our experience so welcoming, very kind and friendly with our kids. So good I bought 2 dozen extra donuts to take to work tomorrow. Great prices! We will...

Grizzly Donuts Rating 4.5 stars

Seriously enjoyed this cute shop. The owners are very kind and overwhelmingly generous. This shop also seems to be veteran owned. I let them know I had heard about their shop on The Alaska Foodie page and they were so excited that people were giving them reviews. They even gave me a free donut after we chatted briefly. ❤️

I unfortunately came at time where not all the donuts were available but the owners let me know if I was willing to wait they would get them out fresh to me. I regretably was on a time constraint and had the old fashioned donut.

I was very pleased, the donut was soft, not too sweet, and quite flavorful. One draw back was it being a tad oily but I fully intend on visiting again and trying more donuts.

They have a selection of boba teas, icecream, and donuts. I was so impressed by their extraordinary service...

I feel so bad leaving a bad review here, but we have bought their donuts four times and every single time they are just not good. They're fairly dry, they're not soft , they always taste a little bit like they're day old. For example, the maple bacon donut... I could neither taste the maple nor really taste the bacon. It just tasted like bread with stuff on top. The owner seemed very nice and the donuts they create visually look great, but they're just not good. Even our kids won't even finish a donut. They are just too dry and very bland. Even though they have so much frosting and candy on top, the base taste more like bread than a donut. I don't understand why people give such great reviews, they're really some of the worst donuts I've had. But they're very cute in the shop is cute, the owner seems so nice.
