Jewel Lake West Shopping Center — Local services in Alaska

The store manager does a very poor job at assuring prompt customer service in all areas of this store. I have always preferred Carrs especially when was solely owned by the Godsteins. However even after saleing to Safeway they have been my preference. However Dan whom is the store manager at this location is quickly changing that to the point Id just assume deal with the pain in the rear parking at Fredmyers considering you will still be done after driving a little bit further and fighting a bigger parking lot than the slow checkouts due to lack of manpower at Carrs. Never mind getting service. And it is no fault of the employees as they try very hard. 95 percent of the store employees are excellent and they will tell you the same thing. Dan is an idiot. Liked this Carr's for the location, close to my new house, But ended up Loving it for several reasons: 1-The store is big enough to get the products we use regularly. 2- However it is small enough we can find what we need and be in and out in a hurry if need be. It also maintains that small neighborhood grocery store atmosphere 3-We are always treated with respect and kindness by the employees toward me, my service dog and and now 2 year old who is developmentally challenged ; which is Not always the case in many other stores. Best of this place is.. WIFI at all corns of the shopping Mall. Taco Bell to your right subway to your left and pizza place for snack with Laundromat right in the middle, tool store at the inside corner, TRUE VALUE, NAIL SALON, don't forget the fitness part of our everyday life. ALASKA CLUB which is separated at the far right of the Mall..across the street is the BANK WITH Emergency Care. It is a FABULOUS COMBINATION of almost everything we need it in our daily life.
