I LOVED my experience at Merrime Bride & Soiree. The personalized appointment allowed me to feel cherished as a bride. My mom, who is a buyer of women's clothes for a shop in Eugene, and I were incredibly impressed with the selection, the quality of the dresses, and the affordable prices. I had such a hard decision to make when I tried on the dresses, but I narrowed it down to a beautiful lace gown. A few months later, we went back with my bridesmaids to find some dresses; their dresses were stunning and accentuated all the right features.

Our shopping all happened prior to the pandemic as time progressed I know many brides postponed or changed their plans; however, my fiance and I decided no matter if we had 10 people attending or if we had to do a double header wedding we were going to go ahead with our plans. I felt like I planned for four different weddings as Governor issued each executive orders; nevertheless, we are so thankful we were able to get married. Our wedding wasn't the way we planned: we had to cut our guest list in half, we socially distanced chairs and tables, we had two cakes (a grooms cake and the wedding cake in case we had to do two ceremonies), our photos now are a historical document of a pandemic, and our two week honeymoon to Hawaii was cancelled. So pleasantly surprised by this place. We were across the street and decided to just drop in on a whim because of one of the beautiful dresses in the window. We were not really expecting much since we did not have an appointment but instead we were greeted so warmly by the owner of the shop. Even without the appointment she invited us in and what was really nice is that instead of assuming she was a friend she immediately recognized my fiancé as my fiancé which is definitely not something we experience often as two women. I was shocked at her service and hospitality for us. Even without an appointment she offered us all of the complementary champagne and services she took the time to explain the shop to us , she listened to my thoughts about the dress, and even pulled some things that I had not thought of which turned out to be my favorites. Throughout the whole experience there it seemed like she had known us for months rather than meeting her five minutes ago. We had our own private little area to try on dresses where she helped me with every single one. We have never been to a wedding dress shop where we both felt so warmly welcomed. The owner is clearly in the right business, she is amazing at her job, and knows her dresses so well. Ended up finding the most gorgeous dress for my reception. There was absolutely no pressure at all from her to buy a dress, but My fiancé and I both said that we wanted to buy a dress from there just because the owner was so wonderful to us. Merrime Bridal is a must stop for wedding dresses. This was my very first stop for bridal boutiques for wedding dress shopping and I do not regret my decision in making this my first stop at all.

I was very nervous going into dress shopping since I am not the most savvy with dress terms nor did I really know what I was even looking for. I worked with Rose as the stylist and she made me feel so comfortable and so heard. Rose was so kind and allowed me to feel at ease being honest about what I did or did not like about each dress I tried on.

Also, at Merrime it is a very personal experience which I really appreciated. There are not other appointments going on, and while Rose was my stylist, the entire Merrime team helped me with finding the perfect dress and veil. This made me feel very attended to like I was their top priority, and that they understood this was more than just a transaction. This decision is one of the biggest decisions for the bride on her wedding day and I felt like they truly valued this. They did not make me feel like the were trying to push a sale on me or rush me, but instead made me feel genuinely cared for. It honestly mattered to them that I found the perfect dress for me and one that made me feel beautiful in every way.
