Place to avoid at all cost. Very dishonest people. I ordered lamb meat for AID Al Idha 2017 the whole zabiha was paid for in full. I donated the whole lamb (the store owner said he knows a needy family in ABQ). However, I asked for the leg and the whole rib cage. Meat was picked up on Thursday after work ~5 pm. When he was cutting the leg I asked to see the meat, the butcher would not allow me. His assistant wrapped the meat and gave it to me in a package. I left the meat overnight in the refrigerator. Friday morning, I find the meat very slimy and bruised. The outer skin had black dots (fungus or bacteria infection)I cooked the meat on Friday but my husband said it tastes funny. I threw away all the meat. The butcher gave me bad meat because I am a woman. Middle eastern men have a knee jerk reaction when women come to their shops to buy meat. I went back to confront him about the quality of the meat he sold me. He lied and said the meat comes from Australia and it thaws before it sells out. He blamed his supplier.

We purchases an entire cow and we ordered certain cuts and most of the meat was left in huge chunks on the one and we did get very much of what we ordered and it was done very sloppy. We trusted to have all cow butchered properly and especially because we drove over 5 hours to get this meat and it is very disappointing to see what we got for the price we paid for the meat I am very not very happy with this situation and I pray inshalah this doesn’t happen...
