I thought I had found a good salon, I guess it’s only good on Sundays. Iv came to this salon 4 times and 2 of thoses times Iv had horrible experiences. Don’t come during the week, they don’t let you know there is 2 different prices on Sundays. Apparently it’s cheaper if you come in on a Sunday and is also way better service! On December 30 at 3:56pm I came in for a service (deluxe pedicure) the same thing I always get with Boston red university color (deep dark red ) usually when I come in on Sundays the guy I usually get which I’m guessing is the owner brings out a box that has 3 different packets one goes in the water the other is a foot scrub and the third a lotion. Today I received a completely different treatment. First when I walked in I was rushed to sign In, when I got settled in to the water the lady started working on my feet I asked her if she was going to add the packets to which at first she pulled out a purple tub of sugar scrub and did this I said no and asked her about the sent packets that the guy uses, at this point another lady is in our conversation which I’m guessing is the lady’s daughter who was doing my pedicure. She brings out some packets and said that it’s a different package and that it’s going to be more, to which I reply why if I always get the same thing and same color and it’s always the same price including the last time I had came in during the week instead of the week end to which she replied it’s different prices on Sundays. At this point 2 other customer we’re hearing my conversation. The customer next to me asked the lady that was doing her pedicure if their is different prices on Sundays to which the lady shrugged her shoulders. I continued my service which I shouldn’t have I should of just left, the lady was complaining about all the dead skin I had on my feet I keep on telling her that I usually do a foot mask a day prior to coming for my pedicure with the guy owner and he has no issue removing all my dead skin, she just smiled and keep on talking in her language to the other lady’s while aggressively taking off the dead skin. When she ringed off my feet she did it with cold water , when I told her it was cold water the lady who was doing my pedicure and her daughter got upset, the daughter told her mother something and then the lady started painting my nails. When I asked her if she could paint them darker (color I always get is dark red) she just smiled and her daughter repeated darker ,the lady then did 2 coats then the daughter took over to which she just did one coat of red-on my right foot then she put on the top coat, she put lotion on my legs and semi massaged them then with one towel she wiped off the lotion get the rest of my dead skin then said all done. Horrible experience would not recommend this place if anything just on Sunday since that is when you get the better service. This is the second time this has happened with the 2 Ladys today! First time wasn’t that bad. Also the lady painted my nails a cherry red not a dark red like I ask 163 to be exact. Its not letting me post pictures other...

So glad I found them! I come down from Santa fe once a month for Dr appointments and was driving by when I saw somone hanging up a "Nails" sign. Went to eat with a friend and while driving back by noticed the parking lot was empty. Figured I could really use a pedicure and it seems like they are not busy, so I stopped in to see if they take walk-ins... I am so glad I did! They are wonderful! Very clean and friendly. Kevin did a wonderful job on my toes, gentel yet thorough. He got off several layers of old nail polish and left my lower legs/feet feeling super soft and rejuvinated. He was even able to draw a spider and web on my toes for Halloween. I couldn't be any happier and will definately go back. Highly recomended! Thank you Universe Nails and Spa for being here. I stepped into Universe nails and I was impressed by the openness and airy feeling of the inside. I loved the decor and I especially loved the rainbow shaped lights over each workstation. Anne did my nails, she was very good. I'm extremely picky as I have very thin nails and I have to use my own fingernail file when I go to salons. She had no problem using my fingernail file and she started with a color I chose, she thought maybe it was too light so she brought two other colors and come to find out, she was right. The other color she picked was much better. She worked with me the whole time on any special things that I requested. I will definitely be back to University Nails.
