We just recently bought a $330.00 dollar coffee table from Classic Century Square in Albuquerque. Store staff was kind enough to bring it out and help load it into our trailer. When they brought it out, however, it was evident that the pedestal was broken and the legs were about to fall off. They were being held on with a few metal straps screwed into the legs. As they loaded the table onto the trailer, the legs were about to fall off. I wasn’t aware of the problem at the time of purchase and no one informed me that the pedestal was broken. There were no signs anywhere in the store indicating all purchases are final. The clerk at the front desk said it was our responsibility to pick up the table, turn it over, and completely check it out before we bought it. However, there was no sign anywhere in the store stating that and no one there informed us of that policy. We assumed the table was in good shape and that Classic Century Square wouldn’t be selling us a broken piece of furniture. When we tried discussing this with the clerk at the front desk, she was extremely rude and threatened to call the police and charge us with trespass! She wouldn’t even let us tell her exactly what happened or express our concerns. She yelled at us to leave the store and again threatened to charge us with trespass, so we left.
We’ve been long-time customers at Classic Century Square but we’ll never buy anything there again. We’ll also be filing a suit in small-claims court. We’re sick and tired of being scammed by...
Read moreI visited on 8/20/25 around 11 am. I have been going to this antique store for 5+ years. Half of my Ty collection is from the same vendor 3088 or something I believe she also has lots of Christmas stuff. I know the woman personally she has even given me discounts before because I buy so much Ty. The issue that day was I had found these 2 Ty’s and I found a frog one as well but it didn’t have a tag. If you know about antique stores they won’t sell without a tag which I completely understand but here’s the thing… There was a five dollar sale for her whole booth upstairs. It even said it on her whiteboard behind the register. I asked the lady checking me out if she could call the lady because I knew her. She told me very rudely no and pointed up and said we don’t call vendors. She told me to write down my name and phone number for her to call me back about it and I did but then I said never mind. I don’t want it anymore because of how rude she was being. Here’s the kicker. Right next to me, they called a vendor for a 10-year-old girl who is interested in a doll and she didn’t even buy it. How ironic I’ve been going here for so long and I’ve labeled it as my favorite antique store and now I’m not coming back. It’s crazy how they treat their longtime customers. That lady in the front...
Read moreThis shop used to be in my chain of regular go to thrift places. However after falling victim to their no return or exchange policy they've lost our business for good. I bought a boxed item with no indication of defect to the product, no "as is" warning. When I opened the box 2/3 items were defective beyond repair. Despite being regulars to this store the owner was unapologetic and unrelenting. And for black Friday last year this store doubled their prices to slash them half off, shady business tactic that didn't work because those items are still lingering. This store is also not disability friendly, despite having elevators, the owner refused to let me use it to access the upper floors when my ankle was fractured and I was using a knee scooter to get around. That alone has to be an ADA (Americans with disabilities act) violation. To thrifters shopping this store I say be aware and be wary of anything boxed shut and do not risk spending more than a few dollars per item here as the quality disclosures are questionable at best. To the sellers paying rent to a booth here, I'd suggest finding a new location with kinder policies. Many many of the same items and booths have been lingering in this store nearly ten years...
