Just had an actual Jewelry Emergency and luckily we went to Crown Jewels & Coin! Our Cats knocked my fiancées engagement ring into our garbage disposal and you can imagine the rest.. We purchased the original engagement ring at Crown and so we went back to see what could be done?? Mora was our sales associate and she did fantastic! Not only was she great at her job but she was kind & understanding as well. We actually were able to trade the old ring in “as is” and purchased another even more beautiful than the original! As always we got a fantastic deal and we’re treated like royalty! Places like Crown Jewels & Coin are few and far between here in Albuquerque and I’d recommend them to anyone looking for top grade stones at bargain prices! Ask for Mora she is awesome and will...
Read moreMy first experience was in September and it was amazing! I got a great deal on my Fiancee's engagement ring, the sales people were friendly, It was all around great. When it was time for me to pick out my ring, I went there and found one that I liked, but couldn't get right away because I was still paying off my Fiancee's. A few weeks went by and I went back just to see if it was still there, and it was, but I still couldn't afford it so I wanted to wait 2 more weeks. When I went back the last time the ring I wanted was gone, I was super upset, but I understand it was beautiful and a great price! The manager, Kathy kept making comments about how if I wanted it so much then I should have got it then and basically made me feel horrible about missing out on it. I tried to push it to the side and worked with another employee who helped me find one of the other 2 rings that I liked. I decided on one and once we found out the cost, I wanted to see if I could possibly get it any lower (you got to try, right?) nope, and Kathy just kept making comments about the previous ring and how I missed out so I left, upset and ring less. After talking it over with my fiancee we decided to put the sour grapes to the side, because she is really the only person I had a problem with and go back and purchase it. I purchased it and asked for it to be sized. My fiancee went in to pick it up, Kathy did not want to give it to her because her name was not the primary, it was written on the work order slip however. Kathy did not even give a ring box for it.My fiancee brought it to me it was in this little bag. TLDR: Kathy has terrible customer service skills and made someone cry who should have been having an enjoyable time. No other issues with any...
Read moreI would give 0 star rating if that were an option. I went in with a sentimental gold, diamond and ruby ring. My reason for looking to get it priced to sell was because it was far too small for me, and the diamond would be quite difficult to repurpose. The ring would spend forever sitting in a box for me to just look at it…and I thought it might be worth getting priced. I made it clear that I was new to selling jewelry and was not positive what I was looking for, just wanted it valued. The girl behind the counter pressured me into coming up with a number. I then was met with very snobby service for the remaining minutes I could tolerate it. She put the ring on the scale and huffed. No other effort made to price it. Then showed it to a man at a computer behind her who scoffed at it. She said she would not give me the $200 I asked for, and would give me $150. She recommended I shop around and come back because they “match” price. I then informed on how I had just gotten it priced for $175 before coming here. She said “well I don’t think I could even get you that”. My thought was, then why mention matching price? I kept quiet while she went back to the man behind the computer who scoffed very loudly and got up as if I was a complete nuisance, to come look at the ring while complaining it would not be sellable for them it’s not even in a style they would want etc… I quickly grabbed my ring back, said thank you and walked out as fast as I could. This was terribly disappointing, snobby and flat out rude service. Do not go there as a first timer selling a piece that may have any sentimental value to you. Maybe don’t go there at all, because they acted like they were far too good for me and my apparently...
