I had about $1k spent at this store, had the collection of Dior J'adore the store had and the largest coach purse with a wallet purchased for me for xmas and they sold the wrong wallet. Got a new coach bag with a non matching wallet, but im returning everything cuz dillards staff and manager at the coach dept wasnt being helpful when it came to trying to get a sale price on what i already purchased.... I initially came in to try to find the matching wallet but no matching wallet, was willing to exchange the bag to match the wallet but nothing, then saw that they had an after-xmas 40% off everything coach. I asked if i can get the sale, he said no, i asked several times and said do u blame me its $200 savings, idc if its store credit ill buy another purse, itll go back to your store, your dept, he finally check with a mgr and said the mgr said no, and I'll (staff) get flagged if u return then buy it again discounted. I said well then ill have someone else buy it for me so we wont get in trouble, he said it wont get approved. This dude really didnt want to work with me saving $200. So i just returned the wallet and left. tried to find the matching wallet online while walking around the mall, couldnt find it. Then anger brewed, thought screw it, im returning every single thing at dillards, not giving my business anymore, i returned the purse. Ranted about him not wanting to work to the lady taking the return, she said it probably affects his sales personally but that shouldnt matter u should still be able to return and buy whatever u want after, ill take the return and u can buy it back discounted. I said no, i just dont want to do business with this store anymore. Its not like im broke person ur losing to, told her what else i bought then left. lol he walked up to her literally seconds after i left, i noticed his voice when talking to her. I turned around confronted him asked does this return directly affect u that u really didnt want to help with this, see now i returned the $600 purse, ur store lost around $600 sale cuz u didnt want to lose $200, but youre not losing just $600, im returning the entire J'adore collection which cost over $400 that was also puchased that same day. Im not doing business with you guys anymore. Btw the Dior counter did a phenomenal job wrapping my gift, unfortunately will be returning everything, you can blame the guy at the coach counter and his manager for denying me saving $200. Will be doing business elsewhere. Sad in a state thats the poorest in the nation, you dont care to be decent to the few who can afford...
Read moreA Mixed Experience at Dillard's with an Unfortunate Incident
During our recent visit to Dillard's, my overall experience can be described as okay, with a mix of positive and negative aspects. While the majority of the staff was courteous and helpful, I must address an incident where one worker displayed unprofessional behavior by giving us a dirty look.
Let me start by acknowledging the positive aspects of our visit. The store itself was well-maintained and organized, making it easy to navigate through the various departments. The merchandise offered a decent selection of clothing, accessories, and home goods, catering to a wide range of tastes and preferences. We appreciated the assistance provided by most of the staff members, who were attentive and ready to assist with any inquiries or requests.
However, our experience took a disappointing turn when we encountered an incident involving one specific worker. While browsing through a section, we inadvertently caught the attention of an employee who proceeded to give us a disapproving look. This act of unprofessionalism was unexpected and left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. Such behavior not only tarnished our experience but also raised concerns about the level of customer service within the store.
It is important for businesses like Dillard's to ensure that all staff members adhere to professional standards of conduct. Customers should be treated with respect and courtesy, regardless of the situation. Unprofessional behavior, such as giving customers dirty looks, creates a negative atmosphere and can deter patrons from returning.
Despite this unfortunate incident, I would like to emphasize that the majority of the staff we encountered during our visit were helpful and provided satisfactory service. The store's overall presentation and merchandise selection were also acceptable. However, it is crucial for management to address incidents of unprofessional behavior promptly and ensure that all employees consistently uphold the store's values of customer service.
In conclusion, my experience at Dillard's was just okay, with a mix of positive and negative elements. While the majority of the staff were courteous and attentive, we encountered an incident where one worker gave us a dirty look, which negatively impacted our overall impression. I hope that Dillard's takes this feedback seriously and takes appropriate measures to address the issue, ensuring that all customers receive respectful and professional treatment during...
Read moreI went in with my two daughters looking for prom dresses. Apparently the rules are that they do not allow more than four dresses in the dressing rooms yet there are no signs that indicate that, two people are not allowed in the dressing room which again there is no sign indicating that. We were given a room by the manager in the dress department and she did not tell us anything. The other girl by the name of Amelia harassed us the entire time we were there, every five minutes she would bang on our door asking how many dresses we had! She was not doing that to anyone else but us. When paying for the dress, I confronted her and she denied doing that yet I told her we had proof because i videotaped her. She turned all red and couldn’t explain herself. I don’t know what her problem was so I complained to upper management yet they made excuses for her saying it was the language barrier that maybe that is why she was acting that way which made no sense because that had nothing to do with her accent! I have never felt so uncomfortable there yet I shop there all the time. Maybe this is not the right fit for Amelia to work at. She needs to understand she is working at Dillards and there is no need to racially profile people. Not everyone who shops there is going to steal. Some people actually have money to shop there no matter how they look! and if Dillards keeps making excuses for her language barrier then maybe they need to get rid of her and find someone else who speaks ENGLISH!...
