First thing when entering the restaurant there is a bad smell. We at first chalked it up to the sushi, but as you are exiting all you smell is sewage.
Our waitress was great, that is about the only good thing here.
First thing I noticed is that this is a new restaurant but all of their soy sauce jars are at a minimum used, they all had an expiration date of 2016. This being a new restaurant should have started with new bottles.
We were brought our soup, then the cook came out and started cooking before the salads came. This is where it got really horrible. The rice was first up, it was bland tasted like year-old minute rice, like cardboard.
Next came time for the steaks, most of us ordered fillets, but some had just the regular steak. The cook cut up the fillets and regular steak then mixed it all together, so this negated the whole point of paying extras for the fillets. However it didn't stop there, the cook didn't know how to cook the steaks, instead he would give us a piece to eat to see if it was cooked.
The cook continued to do this, with the chicken, the shrimp, and the lobster! He had no clue when the food was cooked, this resulted in us eating undercooked seafood, chicken and steak! The food was so gross from being cooked wrong and no flavors used that none of our party ate their seafood and only 2 people eating their steak and chicken!
Also the cook didn't even come out with the proper amount of shrimp, said that people in back were still cutting the shrimp, so he had to run back to the kitchen and get more after he finished cooking everything else.
Next was the veggies, they were extremely undercooked, and several pieces of the broccoli were rotten, no-one in our party ate their veggies.
Once we confronted the manager and our waitress, we were given the excuse that they are a new restaurant and are still learning.
Ultimately only 1 person ate their food, the rest of us left almost all of it there including the rice. My wife and I both got lobster and neither of us ate it. The owner took 20% off, but as I said no-one ate their food.
As far as the cooks learning, most new places have either a senior cook and they train the lower cooks prior to opening, or they send the cooks to other restaurants to learn.
This restaurant has been open for 2 weeks now. Our waitress said that we weren't the only ones that have had these problems.
One other thing, others have posted that they got noodles with their dinner, no-one at our table got noodles, everyone ordered dinner, including the $68...
Read moreFirst impressions really matter and this place will not be getting a second chance from my husband and I. We should have saw it from the beginning. There was no host to greet us, just a visibly frustrated waiter who warned us they were short staffed and very behind. The manager sat us down pretty quickly after speaking with the waiter. We were OK with the regular tables and were immediately given soup and salad but no table settings. Looking through the menu we eventually were able to order drinks. We asked for waters and to help the staff out a little, requested a pitcher of water as well. They obliged. We still had tob ask for napkins and silverware and by the time we had all this the soup and salad were less than ideal temp. We were hungry and by this point decided what we were going to order. The trainee had a trainee of his own and took our order. I have a pineapple allergy so I asked about a certain menu item having it. Neither one knew but said they would put a note to not include it and note the allergy in the system. We ordered a sushi roll and my husband ordered the soba. We waited over an hour and my husband's "soba" was angel hair with onions with slivers of carrot and cabbage. It looked more like carbanara. The waiter had no idea where our sushi or my poki bowl were and we waited for another 10 minutes before deciding to nix the sushi and split the "soba" then and the bowl later. The waiter said he was going to have to speak to the manager about it. We take a bite of the "soba" and it was the final nail in the coffin. We were patient with the wait, the blind leading the blind, the fact that their ONLY sushi chef was making ONE. ROLL. AT. A. TIME, but what we were rewarded with was mediocre, lukewarm, and mealy shrimp scampi. At a Japanese restaurant. We told our waiter that it tasted terrible and we are leaving. He hands us the bill and tells us to talk to his manager about it. We made it clear that it wasn't up for debate. I wish I could give this place a 0 star so I will justify the 1 star by saying what the wait staff could control, they tried. This ship was sinking like the Titanic and the sushi chef was...
Read moreHad the worst service here ! My family and I had a reservation and we got constantly ignored by waitress . Kept bringing us the wrong drinks and at one point tried to take away our drink and then poured it into another glass with ice for some reason . After that, they kept trying to talk to my boyfriend even though I was the one talking for us. It was super frustrating! We were sharing a plate since we had never been there and we don’t eat too much on top of that . We then asked for another plate so we could properly eat our food and they kept refusing to bring one it took 5 times of us asking for one to finally get one and at that point it didn’t even matter anymore. We just wanted to eat . Once food was being made they gave my boyfriend the smallest portion and then served everyone els the rest even though they didn’t order it, since they all had meat entrees .We don’t eat meat so we had ordered the vegetable dinner for us two. At this point I really felt like they were messing with us . One of our friends asked the waitress to confirm that they were only paying for one because they also were sharing with their boyfriend and the waitress shrugged her shoulders at her and seemed very annoyed and didn’t answer her question and left . After that our sushi finally came and the waitress asked me to move my plate so she could serve us our sushi ? She then looked very frustrated but wasn’t using her words and proceeded to bring another plate . She then used our fork to basically drop the sushi on the plate very poorly . After we all ate she tried to charge us for things we did not order and continued to argue with us for several minutes even though we had asked before to confirm especially because a lot of us hadn’t been there and just got ignored . Will not be returning here . We simply wanted to enjoy a family birthday dinner which turned into this stressful night . It wasn’t cheap either so it was very disappointing. I’ve heard this waitress is known for being very rude. Don’t waste your time or money here definitely...
