Please bring Octopus back, this place is absolutely TERRIBLE. I was a long time customer of octopus and loved taking my vehicles there. This new place has new employees, don't let them fool you they say they are from the old establishment but there not. My wife took her car in for and got the most expensive wash 24 dollars. The mats were dirty and the carpet under the seat had not been vacuumed either, under the child booster seat was dirty. With octopus this would not have been the case. I changed the oil in her car and noticed the under body had not been cleaned either. Thinking this was an isolated incident I took my pickup truck in a few weeks later we had just had the snow storm and wanted the under body wash, I got the least expensive wash that included the under body wash, as my pick up went through I noticed this is not a brushed system, then I noticed the light cam on indicated the under body wash. What do you know the jets were not spraying up to wash the under carriage. I brought this to the attention of the young man at the counter, he gave me a confused look and seemed like he didn't know what to do about my complaint, after a stare down the bewildered kid called on his radio to someone stating the undercarriage didn't spray, then ask me. Do you want us to rerun it through? I answered yes, I brought it in specifically for the under body wash. The pickup was brought back around and ran through, someone stood in the wash bay and watched the undercarriage jets. Needless to say the light came on and the jets didn't spray. Keep in mind this was a busy day. After it ran through a manger came in and talked with the bewildered looking cashier, then talked with what looked like a maintenance person, then came to me and said the jets must be frozen, and walked away. Remember how I said this was a busy day, as I stood there about 20 vehicle had passed through the car wash, I witnessed all tiers of washes, from the cheapest to the most expensive that showers the vehicle in golden goodness. None of the washes were receiving the under-body wash( the light was coming on), even though services were not being received they continued to charge customers full price. Once I was finally called up by the very meek young man who was very confused on how to handle me, he offered to charge me for the basic wash 8.99. I paid this and went to get my pickup, found the dash to be dusty and under mats not cleaned, under seats were not vacuumed, guess I got what I paid for. I will never return, my wife will never return, I will suggest everyone that reads this never go there, I will tell everyone I know about my experience and hope they never go there too. This place is not what...
Read moreJust Don't. I needed to clean out wife's car Sunday while she was gone as a surprise. Emptied all loose items and most of the stray thing such as receipts, wrappers and such that I could find in the arm rests cup holders etc. before heading to get cleaned. I even stowed all the cables and loose items. I ended up at Mr Mister as Rain Tunnel sold their location and it became champion Xpress car wash (who doesn't vacuum or do interior windows at all). Apparently it has been 4 years (thanks google) since the last time I tried to get service here and now I remember why. For the price the after service of interior is sub par at best.
The car gets washed and I move out of the way as they go to hit the interior. As I am waiting I see non employees wiping down the exterior of several cars on the side. I was puzzled but a couple looked like nicer cars that deserved to be babied. It made more sense later.
I go to get into the car when flagged as the car as supposedly ready and I can visibly see paper on the floor mats and debris stick out from under them. Both sides of the vehicle front and back. I look in the middle row and there is still loose crumbs and small amounts of paper around the seat belt posts. Keep in mind I precleaned the car. I assume they stirred it from trying to vacuum. I ask if they actually clean under the floor mats and told yes but I can hit them again. After paying the post covid inflated fee, I start fuming. No I would have preferred you hit them the first time. I breathe decide to get the car out of line pull over and look for the shift manager to ask further questions and lodge a complaint.
I go inside o look for a manager and catch someone inside. I did not realize he was apparently leaving shift and apologize but he was very polite and still pointed out the manager. Low and behold he is working the same lane on cleanout that did my car. I realize this is a lost cause. If it did not pass quality control from the manager then, the process is broken.
I took the car home and decided that I was going to fix this and started taking pictures but stopped after 12. If they would have done a better job they probably would have found more change than they get in the tip jars. $2.37 back in my pocket and the car was cleaner. The wife was happy then reminded me why we stopped using Mr Mister after they bought out Octopus. They could not mange to wipe the interior windows or the water off of the door steps that pooled up leaving spotting. These were non issues this time in lieu...
Read moreI've used the services at this location a few times and generally the services are excellent, even if the explanation of services and itemized pricing is poorly explained and vague, almost to the point of attempting to tack on hidden costs. I took my car in on 6/28/21 just to have the interior detailed. It didn't appear to busy seeing it had been cloudy for a couple of days and it looked like it was going to rain (and there were only two cars after me). After having the services and prices explained to me, I choose an option to have the interior detailed, or so I thought. I sat down to wait a while only to find out they were done 15 minutes later. I thought that was the quickest interior detailing I've ever witnessed. Turns out that they weren't as detailed as expected, there was evidence of dust and dog hair on the dash that they only seemed to run a rag over once, spots and crevices were still dirty, there were areas on the console that were still dirty and they didn't even bother to clean the seats, the interior of the car doors, or properly vacuum and shampoo the floor. Overall, that was not something to pay $35 over, and if that wasn't for a full detail, then it should have been explained properly, feels like this is a secret menu item now and you have to explicitly say "I want a full interior detail." I completed a survey expressing my lack of satisfaction only to still not receive any word from management, today on 7/3/21 regarding the reason why the services was so shoddy. It's not like staff was incredibly busy, they only had my car and two others there, was it a race to go back and standing around? I thought the previous complaints were just a bunch of Karens or trolls having fun, but now I'm starting to think that maybe they're right about the lack of performance at this location.
Edit: Not sure how I am supposed to respond to the owner when the website provided to me for a resolution doesn't lead to an actual website, just a Google search of several forums, which forum is it? I should deduct a star for this lazy, canned response for...
