It's not that it's a bad store per se it's just that they never have what I need. And it's not like I need anything crazy. They just have a serious stocking problem.
For example, towards the middle of autumn, you should still be able to find a swamp cooler cover. They only had one kind left, and it was the last one of that kind, and it was the most impractical size you can imagine. It's not even close to a standard size. What happened to all their covers? They likely didn't order enough, and sold out is what happened. I ended up just wrapping the thing in plastic until I was able to order one online. I shouldn't have to order an AC cover on Amazon, you know... it should be a quick trip to the store type thing.
But it's not just that. It seems like anytime I need anything, this store doesn't have it. Its come to the point where I just expect them not to have what I need, and I just stopped going. I go to Samons or Lowes now.
If I need a specific light bulb, the website will say it's in stock. When I show up, they say, "Oh well, the website isn't correct. We don't carry that bulb." It's a standard ring bulb for a kitchen light. It's not even made over seas....
Or when I needed boxes, just regular cardboard boxes, I happened to go on the day someone bought all of them. Literally, I walked in, and someone had just bought like 30 cardboard boxes or something, and I only needed two, but they didn't have em. I dont understand why a) you would have such small stock for a very common high selling item at a SUPER STORE and b) why you'd sell the entire stock to ONE greedy person knowing other people are going to need them.
Sure, you get the $60 or whatever it is right away, but now I, somebody who comes here regularly, is unhappy. And I spend a lot more than $60 in a week. So, it's just bad business. But that's what you get when you just hire anyone off the street.
I remember when I was like 18, during the recession, I applied at Home Depot several times, and they wouldn't hire me because I didn't "know enough about hardware," which was such bullsnort. I grew up around this stuff. I've been doing home repairs since I was 6 years old. But now it's like you see them hiring like little hoochi mama looking chicks that clearly don't know anything about tools, and gang bangers with head tattoos, and 80 year old men that should quite frankly be at home.
I just don't understand this store. Its so useless, I'd rather they just knock it down so Walmart has more parking because that's always where I end up going when I can't find the simple items that I need.
This is probably my harshest review next to the infamous Subway review, but... it had to be said. If I were the owner, I'd fire management and just try again. Advertise the "new management" I'm sure you'd get a lot of people stopping in just based...

Manager Brad finally acquiesced, and agreed to pull my order and allow me to pick it up curbside instead. The same exact solution I offered before and was told it was impossible. I did get all the items that I ordered finally. The only after I had to spend 45 minutes in phone calls and 30 minutes driving. For the first time ever, my order was delivered to my car curbside in less than 10 minutes. Still that's nearly two hours of wasted time on my day off. Manager Brad, I'll say it again. Do better.
The incompetence is astounding. Months ago, I have up on curbside pickup with these clowns. They never get the order right. Instead I order delivery. I placed a delivery order the night before I needed my materials and paid for a specific window. The driver dropped off someone else's order the following morning. That person was not even in the same ZIP code and the orders weren't at all similar. Within a few minutes of the delivery, I called the store and spoke a CSR who said he would call Spark dispatch to send the driver back and that he'd call me back. Nearly an hour later, he did not call back. I called the store once again and asked for him by name. I was told he was busy. I rehashed the ordeal with CSR #2. He told me I would have to just come to the store. NOPE. I'm not wasting time in that circus. I asked for a manager. Notice how I'm not calling out CSRs by name? That is because they do the best they can with the limited resources they have. I AM going to call out the manager on duty, Brad. For a third time, I told Brad the story. Brad said that the Spark drivers were idiots. He promised to call back in 5 minutes. He called back in 10. That's fine. My problem is that his solution was to have that same driver go back to the home where my order was delivered and collect the items then drive it to my house to swap. I had already tried contacting the person whose order I received and she didn't respond to calls or texts. I asked Brad why he would think the person would answer the door. I requested again that they just assemble the order again and deliver it during the window that I paid for OR allow me to pick it up curbside. Brad said that he has to follow protocol. You are a manager, Brad. Do the right thing. Take care of your customers. Don't blame the 3rd party. They are your subcontractor and you are responsible for their performance or lack there of. ...

4/11 I drove to the store and arrived around 4pm. The sign said I did not need the app to check in, that I could do it online. When I went to the website on my phone, it said I had to download the app. Okay. I downloaded the app and signed in. When I tried to check-in it gave me errors over and over. I finally called the store and the helpful lady on the line checked me in on her side. When she confirmed what I was picking up (standing workbench), she told me it would take 10-15 minutes for them to grab the order. That timeline was completely understandable.
Some time goes by and several other people show up to the curbside pickup area.
A lady brought out someone else’s order after they arrived about 20 minutes after I did. I flagged her down to ask if she could check on the status of my order. She said she would.
More time goes by…more people come and go with their curbside orders. The lady comes back out and lets me know it’ll be another 5-10 minutes.
After about 30 additional minutes I call the store to request an update. They put me on hold for 10 minutes and no one ever came back to the phone.
Eventually, two younger people come out with the package. Myself and my boyfriend got out to put it in the car as it was very heavy. As they were shoving it in, it got stuck on my backseat. I requested they wait while I went around to pick it up from the inside, so it would slide in, and not to push until I said so. Unprompted, they both shoved it, crushing my boyfriend’s thumb and breaking the back seat’s bottom cover.
All-in-all we spent over an hour being jerked around by this situation. On top of that, my car was damaged in the process. I am irritated that my time was wasted when there were multiple opportunities for the employees to be transparent with the amount of time I would be spending there. I understand if heavier/larger items will take more time to prepare, but stalling and being dishonest about the expected timeline is unnecessarily...
