My wife and I were first-time homebuyers in 2021. While familiar with the area, we had heard how difficult the housing market had become, and thus picking a relator would most likely make or break the deal. We also needed a realtor who was willing to walk first-time homebuyers through the process, work on our schedule, and ultimately be able to professionally negotiate on our behalf. Steffan surpassed all expectations.

Not only was Steffan patient, working with us over the course of 2021 as we moved from casually looking to actively sending offers, but he did so at our pace and in a manner that made both my wife and I comfortable with what can be an extremely stressful period. During our house hunt, housing that matched our expectations was typically only on the market for 3-7 days. Steffan always made time to quickly schedule tours, even squeezing us between tours if necessary to make sure we had a chance to see the home we were interested in.

The home we ultimately purchased was only made possible because we had Steffan as our realtor. The home was listed for 3 days and we only got to see it because Steffan squeezed us in between 2 other showings. As first-time homebuyers, we were up against at least 6 other serious offers, 2 of which were cash. Steffan was able to walk us through what a competitive offer would look like while simultaneously representing us to the sellers, explaining our story, and what our intentions were for the property. Without Steffan, I would not be in my own home right now.

Steffan was kind, professional, patient, and a hell of a negotiator and somehow got us our ideal first house in 2021 below budget. I would highly recommend him to anyone in the Albuquerque market and I will be using him again...

Working with Steffan was a terrific experience! We expected professionalism and excellent service - which we did receive above and beyond, but the rest was a pleasant surprise. Steffan was, of course, very knowledgeable and on top of the game but it was his personal and genuine interest and concern that caught our attention showing us he is more than just a salesman - he is a good and kind person who truly cares about your needs. Our purchase was a bit complicated by personal issues on both sides of the sale. Without realizing we needed his expertise, Steffan stepped in and identified issues, presented solutions and led us through a few messy spots. Prior to our purchase decision we felt we did not need a realtor - just file papers and sign and pay money is all we had to do. In fact, we met with Steffan early on and let him know we were proceeding independently but he kindly shared his advice and looked out for our interests knowing we were not employing his services. However, during the purchase process we grew to deeply appreciate the extra steps Steffan took to not just guide us but lead the way through. He took initiative to stay on top of the lender, title company, seller’s realtor and make us aware of things we did not notice. This was especially helpful in regards to the contract. When there was something not right he went to bat for us right away without us having to catch it or ask. What a relief it was to have his protection and advice. We certainly will never consider a real estate transaction without first consulting Steffan and he is our first thought if anyone asks us for a realtor. In fact, we have many guests at our B&B who are looking for a house or land and we will be proud and confident to refer to...

When my Fiancé and I set out to find a home (first time home buyers), we knew we wanted to work with a motivated, skilled, and experienced realtor. After consulting with Steffan, he really narrowed into our needs and desires in this highly competitive and aggressive market while maintaining superior availability despite our busy schedules.

Steffan made us feel like we were the only ones he was working with. He would respond promptly, make himself available to view homes during the day or late in the evenings, answer questions or simply check in with us to ensure we were getting all the help we needed.

We viewed around a total of 6 houses before we found the one we wanted (it was a quick process for us). This was our first offer on our home, and despite other competitive offers that came through, his negotiation skills really played a huge factor and we were able to land the home we wanted on the first try. I am not saying this will happen for everyone, however, had it not been for Steffan's expertise and cutting to the chase to save us time and money, we wouldn't have moved in a quick 27 days later.

If you want to work with someone who is honest, knowledgeable and respectful of your time and money, Steffan will make your experience a lot less stressful, and honestly, just a bit more enjoyable (because you know, it's stressful).
