Today was my first time here. I was supposed to have my nails done by Hailey, but she didn't show up so a man started and it was fine, then I was moved over to Jolie to do the application of the gel x nails. She glued a nail on and then ripped it off to reapply it. The whole time she was doing my nails she acted like it was an inconvenience for her. She wouldn't use her words and instead would hit my hand to let me know to dry my nails. She hit the skin on my thumb so many times with the dremmel that it started bleeding. At the end of the appointment I gave her my card to pay and told me she only takes cash or venmo for a tip. I didn't have cash so had to set up a venmo. I have been getting my nails done for more than 10 years from a nail tech from a different local salon. For the past several months I’ve been so unhappy. I’ve left with bumpy and uneven nails. I decided to try Flashy Nails as the salon is rated high and I was in the area. I’m so happy with my gorgeous nails. Annie took time and paid close attention not only to detail but the integrity of my natural nail. She was gentle and took her time making sure every step was done perfectly. My nails feel fresh and rejuvenated. The shape is perfect and the nail is smoked. I got dip on my natural nails and an essential oil pedicure. The pedicure was just as wonderful as my nails. 8/29/2024 I called in yesterday to make an appointment for this morning. I arrived a few minutes early and was seen at my appointed time. Lisa was the technician who did my nails. I got a French gel nail. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and asked up front the cost of service for what I wanted. It was reasonable however, after having to show Lisa the design I wanted the time she still couldn't get it right and she spoke no English so there was a huge language barrier there. She also cut my cuticles several times which I was not happy about. All-in-all, the shop was very nice, location is great but I won't be requesting Lisa again. I will give Flashy nails one more try.
