Wish I could rate a 0. First of all I’m not the person to complain or even write bad reviews especially during the staffing shortages all industries are experiencing. I travel weekly for business and to Albuquerque frequently. I usually stay at Hilton properties but wanted to try a new place this week. I use the mobile check in but the mobile key system does not work, waited 20 plus minutes to check in. There was another guest needing assistance who was waiting longer than myself. He knocked on the door behind the reception desk, an unpleasant woman appeared about 5 minutes later. My business partner also checked in her room at the same time, she stays at Marriott properties weekly and asked if there was any perk for high level members. The receptionist stated that this property does not do anything special and it’s a shame that they do not. The first night of my stay was okay. The room was not very clean but I wiped things down with my own cleaning wipes. The second night I returned to my room to find that the toilet had been running for what appears hours. Water was filling the bathroom, not knowing how long water had been sitting on the floor I used all my towels to soak up the water. I opened the tank of the toilet to find the flush valve was stuck open, I corrected the valve so the water would stop. As I was pulling a towel from under the sink area multiple very large cockroaches scattered and ran towards the bedroom area. I called to the front desk explaining my current situation a woman stated very quickly that someone would be right up. As I waited for someone to come up I spent my time capturing cockroaches under the glasses provided in the room. After 15 minutes there was a knock at my door. I answer the door in about 20 seconds to find only a plunger in a white plastic bag, no hotel staff. I moved the plunger from the hallway to the bathroom being helpful to the staff as I held the door open waiting for someone to appear. No one ever came or called. I put the plunger back in the hallway as it was cover in fecal matter and smelled or course. I had a very early flight the next morning and it was getting close to midnight. I plugged the hole where I found the cockroaches coming from behind the tv stand/dresser and tried to sleep for a few hours. Upon waking I quickly showered using my sheet to dry off. I left the cockroaches captured under the glasses and the plunger was still sitting in the hallway outside my room when I left around 430am. I will note that after no one responded to my room I attempting calling again to the desk without response as well as submitting an online complaint to Marriott hotels directly giving them time to respond before posting on google. I have not heard...
Read moreOne of the most peaceful night sleeps you can get in a hotel. Black out curtains literally keep the room nice and dark and it is so quiet here. Of course it is the off season but it's wonderful to be able to sleep in silence. The bed is very fluffy and comfortable with hard pillow and soft pillow, not too big on the coffee maker because it's using single-use plastic for every single cup of coffee. The morning service was much better in the restaurant than the evening service. And the food is good for breakfast, the breakfast burrito tortilla is nice and crispy, this also was spicy and delicious and the guacamole was fresh. The Omelette with cheddar cheese and crispy bacon was yummy and they have those potatoes that are so good not that shredded pre-patty stuff.
Kind of a bummer they don't have coffee cups though, but it's not Styrofoam.
They have a laundry facility on site, it's $1.50 per load wash and $1.50 to dry, and they are large machines just a few of them but they work perfectly for those of us on a long vacation.
There are no dogs barking, as this is a no pets hotel. One of the reasons we chose it.
They do not have a local magazine to tell you what's going on in town, you have to sit on the computer to find out where to go and what to do. Luckily there's a computer station at the front desk.
Super friendly night time front desk lady on Halloween was fantastic, very personable, and very proficient.
Love the courtyard they have a fire going so you can sit at a fire at night and relax on these beautiful evenings. I think it's worth the money.
Cons: The housekeeping could be better because our floor was really dirty and we had to clean it ourselves after our socks came up dirty, and they sprayed some type of chemical behind the toilet that is neon green but it actually washes off with a wet cloth so housekeeping is not as good as it could be. The pool water was clean but above the water is a black residue that you can see on the water depth tile. It's been noticeable by many people because you can see they've scratched little letters into it. On Halloween it seems the waitress didn't show up and the bartender started our order for us to have dinner. The food was delivered by the waitress who never came back to see how our food was or to clear our plates. We had to go find her to pay our bill and she had to ask us what we had. We were only one of two tables in the entire restaurant. There were three people that sat at the bar and they seem to get the majority of her attention. That was a bummer, and the bartender Daniel told her she was late when she came in and we heard it so that's how we know she was the slack waitress of...
Read moreThere were several issues that came up at our stay at the Marriott in Albuquerque, NM. When we arrived we were pleased with the new renovations but were disappointed in the way the AC functioned. Ours did not work well and if we adjusted the AC it became very hot in our room. Even when we had the AC on the highest level it still would malfunction and we would have periods of uncomfortable temperatures that were warmer that we would have liked. The room overall was clean and nice but there was an outdated TV Guide which added to the frustration of the other issues that occurred during our stay. While showering the water leaked outside the shower creating a puddle of water. We had to use our towels for bathing on the floor instead due to this issue. Another problem during our stay was that we decided to eat at the restaurant downstairs. There was a graduation party occurring which was nice to see but the staff were very unprofessional. They argued and were clearly frustrated and upset. When we came down to the restaurant to eat. We were not greeted and we were ignored. My father then went up to the bartender as there was no one else present or the staff would walk away from us to avoid assisting us. The bartender was asked about being able to eat there and he gave no eye contact and appeared very annoyed we were even there and instead of answering a simple question he told us to hold on that he was busy while never looking at us. We just stood there looking for someone else to assist but the staff were avoiding us. The bartender then asked another staff if they could deal with us. If we had not been driving for 9+ hours we would have ate elsewhere. We chose a table to sit at and felt like we were a burden. We were given only one menu to share with the 3 of us. I ordered the Three-Cheese Grilled Cheese + Tomato Soup white cheddar, gruyere + parmesan on artisan bread with classic tomato soup and instead I got a Texas toast white bread with one slice of american cheese and for the "tomato soup with white cheddar" I got marinara sauce disguised as soup with no cheese! This really irritated me that the chef would try to pass of the marinara sauce as tomato soup. I advised the waiter of this issue and I was given a 25% discount but I feel that with that type of deception it should have been free. My father ordered the burger and he thought is was ok and my mother got the pasta with chicken which was the best of the three. It was very hot in the...
