Dollar General — Local services in Alexandria

The absolute worst dollar general in Central Louisiana! Their shelves are never stocked. There are always things blocking the aisles and its always messy. Today when I went in the register froze on my transaction. So I waited a good 15 minutes while the employees tried to figure out what was wrong. After standing there patiently waiting the "manager" gave up and told me I would have to go to a different store. She then checked the next customer out on another register that was working! Why couldn't she have moved me down to that register and let me purchase my items??? I went down the road to albertsons and purchased my items with the same card and had no issues! The days of legit customer service are done for big corporations apparently. This "manager" embarrassed me in front of other customers and made it seem like it was my card that wasn't working when it was simply their register that was frozen. I will never go to this store again. From now on I will drive an extra couple of miles and spend my money elsewhere and I suggest everyone else...

Sure hate for someone to trip and fall after dark or even heaven forbid get robbed. Absolutely no outside lights on when it’s pitch dark outside with the store open, no lights on the sign, no overhead parking lot lights and no lights at entry to store, NO LIGHTS!!! I wonder if they no why there sales are down when it gets dark and there are the only thing that open for miles. Management might want to look into this or just close when it gets dark if the electricity bill is to high. Be cautious if you are going there and it’s dark. Bring a flashlight to...

Rude cashier. Short bright skin lady. I've came in the store three times when she's working and she was RUDE every time! She walked over me one time,didn't say excuse me, she couldn't answer a simple question, I had to find out the answer after she rung me up, and she added items to my purchase that shouldn't been on my purchases! 😡 I wish I had corporate number. This lady gone make me catch a charge!!! And the managers ain't good...
