Update 10/28/2024 1 star! So i came in to home depot today and was practically harassed by the staff at the front desk to pay at self checkout.
I did a survey for home depot and got a $80.00 dollar gift card for participating in the product survey. The last time i came, i was able to use my Digital Gift card with zero problems and had a remaining balance of $30.00 and came in today 10/28/2024 to redeem the last of my giftcard balance and was immediately told i couldn't use my digital gift card because of Fraud lol.
I told them that my card is NOT fraud and that i earned it with a home Depot rep online for completing a survey for a product and all i had was a screen shot to scan the barcode and redeem my gift card.
I still scanned the bar code and it went through after i entered my 4 digit pin and then paid the remaining balance with my home Depot credit card. I was forced to show an email that partially showed that i had a digital home Depot gift card which i thought was ridiculous.
This isnt the first time i fet stopped by an employee.
The last time i was here i was being accused of stealing because the rep that was supposed to be watching everyone in the store paying, didn't see me scan all my items when i finished paying. I was then stopped before reaching the exit and was asked to show them mt receipt mean while other people were just passing me who also paid with the self checkout and i didnt see that rep asking them for their receipt.
I feel discriminate shoping here, im a 40 year old hispanic male that does alot of self repair at my rental home because my Land dorks are so cheap that they dont even repair anything so i end up doing it.
I HATE that i keep being racial profiled here and i feel like filing a discrimination lawsuit against home depot in Alhambra for my treatment. Next time i am taking a camera with me to record the whole situation and then have that as my case or maybe make a fool out of them by having them call the cops while i wait to talk to them so i can file my discrimination report.
I cant exactly stop coming here when this is literally mt closest home depot store. Whoever the store manager is here, they need to seriously train their staff to stop discriminating hispanics.
I dont look like a gang banger and i dont even have any damn tattoos on me either so why the discrimination?
I came in with black basketball shorts, black tennis shoes and a black short sleeve shirt because its comfortable wear for me lol.
I was NOT wearing oversized pants or a flannel shirt of have my face tatted up to be looked at like a freaking criminal. This needs to stop!
Im loading my proof of purchase so the damn manager can see that i DONT steal and i DONT do fraud wirh gift cards either. Home...
Read moreWent in to pick up a product that the website said had 29 in stock. Went to the aisle and bin that website said it was located at, and the spot was empty. Finally tracked down an associate and asked for help, the associate refused to look at my phone and simply said they'd get me help. Waited five minutes for another guy, Patrick, to make his way down the aisle as he was being stopped by every other customer. When I tried to show him what I wanted, he told me to wait so he could help this other girl in tight shorts and a low cut top. When he finished, I showed him what I needed, told him the website said they 29 in stock, and pointed out the place on the shelf where it should have been. He glanced at the top stock before telling me he had to find someone with a scanner in order to help me. He returned about 10 seconds later and weakly offered that since he couldn't find a scanner or locate any on the top stock, they must be out. By this point I was beyond frustrated. I went to the front and asked to see a manager, although to do so I had to wait for 2 cashiers to finish their social conversation first. One of them called the assistant manager, David, and said he'd be right out. I waited over five minutes for him to arrive and as I was ready to leave, the cashier that had called him pointed him out to be. I went to speak to him, and showed him my phone. I explained the interaction with Patrick, and offered that of the site had showed 1 or 2 I could understand the store not having them in stock. David's response was, "it happens". We went to the aisle and he did the same as Patrick, looked at the top stock, looked at the spot on the shelf then told me the count must be off. When I asked him if he meant that he had somehow lost 29 items, he shrugged and said, "Yeah, I can check another store" the sheer audacity that any store would exert so little effort to helping a customer, and then even less effort to locating 29 pieces of product is appalling. I will instead be going to OSH for items in the future. The whole trip...
Read moreI came in to make a return. I always take pictures off my receipts due to working construction and always messing up the ink on the receipts. And today 1/4/2025 I was denied my return Because supposedly it’s policy to not take digital receipts when I asked to show me the policy no one was able to show me anything. Supervisor hugh huy didn’t want to make the return and was very rude. Once I mention I would be calling corporate he agreed to make the return but becusue I said I still need his name to make the complaint anyways he then refused to make the return wrote his name on a paper and walked away at that point I talk to Somone else and Rachel in customer service was very rude she was arguing it’s policy and said they don’t do that and told me that it’s been a 2 yr policy and when I asked her to show me the policy she couldn’t. So when I told her I personally know another store manager she told me well if you don’t like it you can go make the exchange at the other store. That was very rude off her and confrontational and bold to kick me out and say to go to another store. All home depot are ran the same way they all need to be consistent with everything they do.when we asked to see another manager hugh huy said im the only manager no one else is here with a rude tone and refused to called anyone else . So I requested the store manager with Rachel and finally got the assistant manager and I explained everything to her she also tried to say its policy but she couldn’t show me anything so at that point she accepted the return and was able to help me out. It’s very unfair that every worker in home depot try to make up their own rules and regulations and policy. A big corporation like home depot should not be allowing their workers to make their company look bad. Unfortunately this experience is making think to take my money and business to another store that actually appreciates...
