Extra space accommodated my last minute storage needs and was able to take the stress off my back while movers were able to unload directy into the unit while I was signing up and in the office. It was very smooth and easy. Very kind desk staff at both locations i went to.
UPDATE: this happened 11/2021
This location AUCTIONED my unit off without me knowing it was even in danger of being auctioned. I received a text message after office hours (office closes at 6- message received at 6:05pm) saying confirming my unit was moved out.
Needless to say I was alarmed and Immediately called them to see what it was , hoping it was a glitch of mistake. No answer since they “close” at 6pm.
The next morning I received a phone call from the woman manager, who told me my unit was sold yesterday. I couldn’t believe it. I had the unit for 3 months - at the end of Covid and had not received any call or text or email informing me of this auction or that I was about to be auctioned. This would have been paid immediately in that case. But I didn’t have the opportunity to, because they have it rigged so that they can make money off you. I had an outburst of emotions and couldn’t believe it -
The woman then LAUGHED at me when I was having a breakdown. That is unacceptable VILE human behavior. Which only makes me believe it was an “inside job”. My company is still not recovered from the major loss of income because of this situation. I am NEVER Going to recommend, or rent , or forget this storage facility.
I would never trust this company. I am so disappointed and disheartened by the disgusting sub human manager who laughed at my devastation and loss.
I am survivor living with PTSD , I’ve built a small business out of nothing - after I had lost everything I had when I was trapped by explosion and fire in my apartment building in 2014. Especially after Covid nearly shut me down for good, I had been curating a special group of furniture and art (I am a architectural designer and antiques and art dealer , I collect - restore- re sell) I was going to have a special designer event to auction off these items to raise money to save my company and pay my debts to survive - but this was done without any warning, and without me knowing. And worst of all, done with no blink of an eye or any humanity from a dishonest despicable woman who thinks it’s funny. How sad of a person if you get humor and laughter while YOUR CUSTOMERS lose their income and survival and they are the ones who you should be helping.
You should be so lucky you have...

Prices are lower than most facilities in the area. Seems like every large unit has drive up access (though you give up climate control by not having them located inside a building).
The office staff is friendly and helpful. Access is not 24 hours, but the window of access is everything except late at night.
You get use of a free moving truck within the first 10 days of signing up (the truck may be moving to another location).
The backside units face the decline to the train tracks and feels pretty isolated. I don't know if they have cameras on the backside, but it would put you more at ease if they did. Otherwise try to get a unit in the front.
You get a gate code. The parking lot is so small that there isn't drive-up access to the keypad on the way in. That's annoying. You have to get out, punch in your code, then get back in your vehicle. Leaving is drive-up, thankfully.
Overall it seems to function well and as expected. You get a place to store your stuff. It's not more complicated than that. The staff seems upfront and in it for the long haul rather than a quick buck. Other customers there were complimentary toward them while I was there. There's an odd traffic light/intersection set up at the entrance to their parking lot that I haven't quite figured out. It's not obvious if you're leaving and coming at the light or just before it. Mission isn't too busy of a street, though, which is good for the location and getting moving trucks in and out. If it were a busier street then I could see accidents happening with people unsure of whether they have to wait for a green light or not to turn left out of the parking lot. I would recommend this place to anyone living...
Read moreTwo storage companies are across from each other. Went across the street to check another storage company first. Waited 10 minutes and no one came back to the office during afternoon office hours. Didn't want to wait any longer, so came to Extra Storage. Meet Jamarr and was shown several storage units sized between 10 x 12 to 10 x 15. Jamarr was very professional and knowledgeable in showing me all the available options. He mentioned the pricing details and compared renting options. The customer service was great! I didn't need to go back to the first place and ended up renting at Extra Space. An hour later, I pass by the first company....and still no one in the office. During the next couple of days, I pass by the first company before going to Extra Space to put my stuff in storage. I have yet to see anyone in that office. I don't know how they stay in business where there is zero customer service. Maybe you need to make an appointment?? But if there are concerns to your space after you rent, how will you get service?? No one in local office, then you call corporate 800 number?? Then how long will it take to solve a problem? Go to Extra Space Storage and talk to Jamarr. Easy and stress free. He is there to get...
