Boost Mobile’s 30-day money-back guarantee is a blatant lie, and their customer service is incompetent. Their policy states that new accounts with at least one port-in line, enrolled in AutoPay, are eligible for a refund of all service fees for the first 30 days to the original payment method if canceled within 30 days (Boost Mobile Help Center, 2025).
I activated a new account with one port-in line and three new lines, enrolled in AutoPay, and requested cancellation of the three new lines within the 30-day window, expecting a refund for their service fees. Boost not only failed to cancel the three new lines as requested, but they also charged me for all four lines, including a line for a phone I returned (I received a device refund but was still charged for that line’s service). When I demanded a refund, they refused to return any money to my card, claiming their system couldn’t process it. Even worse, they told me that if I cancel the entire account, I’d only get a refund for the port-in line’s fees, not the three new lines—directly contradicting their policy, which promises a refund for all service fees on the account, including new lines.
The representative was clueless, asking me to explain their own policy over the phone! Boost’s refusal to honor their guarantee, failure to cancel lines, and false claim that only the port-in line is refundable have cost me hundreds of dollars. This is deceptive advertising and a complete disregard for their own terms. Avoid Boost Mobile—they don’t deliver on their promises and will stick you with charges for services...
