Edited on June 7th, 2021. We ordered a dishwasher and paid for it in December, 2020. We were told that it might not come in until February due to Covid. February, March, April, and May came and went. During this time, no one from Park ever contacted us to give us an update. I called several times and was simply told that it had not yet come in. I called in June and a different salesman told me that an almost identical dishwasher was available immediately. To be clear, I understand that delays happen. My frustration (and judging by other negative reviews I am not alone) was not the delay, but the fact that there was no followup by the sales person, although we had paid in full, and there was at least one almost identical unit available. One phone call a month would have not been difficult and would have gone a long way to preventing a negative customer review. That said, the available dishwasher was delivered and installed today. The gentleman who installed it did a wonderful job. He was friendly, professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Because our house is old, it was a difficult installation, but he never balked. My understanding is that he is not an employee of Park Home, but nevertheless he is the reason I am raising my review of Park Home from 1 to 2 stars. The gentleman, himself, easily earned a 5 star rating and my gratitude. Judging from the number of reviews that complained about bad customer service experiences in cases where the purchased item was ordered, rather than immediately available, I think the store would benefit from a system whereby someone is assigned to call customers periodically to give an update about the item for which they have already, in many cases, paid a significant sum of money. Read moreLet me just say - we had planned to (and did) explore Park Home, Levin, and Ashley during the Black Friday sales to find a new sectional. Park Home was our first stop. We had an AMAZING salesperson, Trent Kephart. After going to the other 2, Park Home had the most welcoming, lowest pressure, sales environment. Multiple people, including Trent, offered us beverages while we shopped. Trent was helpful and kind - and the best part: NO HOVERING! No blah blah blah sales pitch. He answered all of our questions, and even helped answer questions I didn’t realize I had! And the price on our new sectional was the lowest anywhere. And, if we had found a lower price (and again, we didn’t!), they price match and then beat it! I cannot stress enough how much we enjoyed our experience, and Trent was absolutely the deciding factor when we decided to go back to Park to make our final purchase. It was the end of Trent’s day when we went back to purchase and he stayed late to finish our purchase out - and not once did he even seem remotely annoyed. He also had a sprain or break on his ankle/foot and he still was in the absolute best spirits! Park Home - please keep up the good work (and promote Trent! Lol! He was phenomenal - have I said that enough?) side note: being gay and shopping with my fiance can be quite the experience in central PA - but Trent and the entire Park Home Duncansville team made us feel welcome and not judged in the least! Read moreMy wife and i are extremely disappointed with park. We have never had such a horrible experience with a retail store before and have been out right lied to by both salesperson and manager. While looking at furniture we were told it would be about 3 weeks if we ordered it. After purchasing it that suddenly changed to 4-5 weeks, by thanksgiving we were told. After making several calls we were told half of our pieces were there but 2 were not, that a truck would be in the following Wednesday they should be on that. They were not. We’re told they tracked the order and they would definitely be here dec 18th. The salesperson told us she spoke to the manager and they did have the same couch in the warehouse that wasn’t set to be delivered yet that they would give us that one and then when the ottoman came in we could just pick it up on the 18th. We set up delivered for the 3 pieces, long story short they brought us the couch from the showroom floor. When we called to speak to a manager her response was the couch from the warehouse got damaged so that’s why they sent us that one. I do not believe for one minute there was an extra couch. They were sending us the showroom one hoping we didn’t notice i guess. Her response was once the new couch came they would come take this one and deliver the new one but that won’t be until at least after Christmas. Funny, i thought the order was tracked to the 18th.
