AL-MART General Store — Local services in Alma

Terrible service. The "owner" cussed someone out in full rage for asking for the bathroom key after buying something. He reaked of alcohol and piss as he stormed by. So I put my stuff back and left. Really doesn't make me think it's a safe place. Oh and I think I smelled a fire burning out back, fire warning was on red on the drive in. Major yikes

Edit: Their response has nothing to do with my experience, I know what I saw. Sounds like a bunch of excuses and gaslighting to me (which lines up with all the other 1 star reviews you have, yes I read them just to make sure it wasn't an off day or random thing. Nope this type of behavior seems to be completely normal for you, according the other reviews.) seems sketchy. And as far as that "public urination" sob story goes. I definitely don't believe that, with how many people in these reviews cite false accusations and poor treatment...

I like the Al-Mart. They have a good stock in a small place. You can find meat choices and vegan choices, regular brands to organic. They also sell some good gear. Carhartt brand and other solid work and mountain clothing. They also have a locally made line of jarred yummies... Like spicy pickled green beans, (we got these and they were really good!) okra, bbq sauces and salsas and more. The prices are higher on most pantry items, but that's understandable to me, considering how far from everything you are up here in the mountains. Their prices on local Skanga meats are great. This little store is worth a stop. Get a snack, an ice cream, food for camping, any essentials you forgot for your trip....it is a little mountain Wal-Mart except you're supporting locals. Karen and Corey have the best shop in Park Co! Especially for those in Alma! Almart is the neatest convenience shop that also offers all your needs for clothing up here as well. I’m the 10 years we’ve lived here they have been so kind to bring in and carry things I’m going through a phase with, under the conditions it’s something other customers would enjoy as well. For a while it was chocolate snack pack puddings, then it was orange Gatorade, and the last thing was those strawberry cupcakes!
