I can’t stress enough the quality of Diane’s garments and how happy I am with my Classic Coat. I first contacted Diane before Thanksgiving 2020 to understand the ordering process and to confirm that I understood the measurements protocol. I knew that because the upcoming high season it was going to be hard to get my coat before Christmas so I wasn’t aggravated of the possible wait (although Diane did her best to get me in!).

The final product is one of my most treasured garments. Made in the USA by local craftsmanship.

There are 2 very minor details that I noticed which could throw off some customers: My coat didn’t arrive with a matching garment bad of the same level of quality and sophistication (just a black plastic bag) and the coat was “raw” (ie there were sheepskin dust all over inside/outside). Of course, a quick vacuum cleaning and a Cotton garment bag solved it but I want to share this to others so to avoid any surprises.

My wife and I have at least 4 beautiful coats, numerous headbands and mittens from The Sheepherder, gathered over a period of years. It is rare to find such high quality and craftsmanship, and very rare to get a chance to deal with the wonderful artisan who makes the garments. Diane is is a terrific woman, extremely ethical and honest. Her garments are 'go to' gifts for only the most special people, as they will be heirloom pieces! Recommend The Sheepherder most...

Stopped by this shop 7/31/2020. No prices on items. Shopkeeper was extremely rude. Maybe she had a bad day, she lost our business! Hard to believe that people like that can stay in business. She also cost the other businesses in Alma our dollars. We left town instead of continuing shopping in what could be a...
