We rented 3 machines for a day and one of them had an alignment problem and was pulling so badly that we had to fight to keep it going straight. Fortunately as soon as we noticed I went back and showed them or I'm sure we would have been charged for the damage. They said it would take too long to fix before our ride so we put up with it. There was no offer of a discount or alternate machine. Another reason for only 1 star is that they tell you you can ride right from the Alpine location directly to the trails but the don't tell you that it takes a half hour riding fast before you get to any sort of trail that isn't a forest service road so that takes your day long adventure down to 6.5 hours of actual trail riding. (You also have to spend part of your 8 hours filling the machines with gas before you return them) And finally when we went almost half the trails we're closed or had damage we couldn't get around . It was in mid June so I can understand some of the trails we're just opening for the season but Alpine Adventure doesn't tell you when u make your reservation and have to pay 1/2 down non-refundable deposit that many of the places you will want to ride may not be open. (Also when I asked the reason for the really high tax rate they charge they told me that they charged a tax for the repair and maintenance of...

A group of (9) of us from all different nooks of the country meet up once a year for a snowmobiling trip. The last few years we have been "shredding" from West Yellowstone but decided to try a new venue this year.
From the beginning of the planning process, the Alpine team was friendly, considerate, and helpful on a couple of calls answering my questions. This included questions on equipment, trail systems, and reservation process. Even got us the sleds the night before our primary riding day for a little extra.
We rented (9) ski doo 850 2 strokes with avalanche and winter gear. Team helped train us on operation of all aspects before we set off. We had the sleds from the evening of 01/31/25 to the evening of 02/02/25. Sleds performed great and were well maintained. Two peice winter gear wasn't quite as good as the one peice stuff we were used to from our West Yellowstone rental but a minor note.
Trails were in good shape and we lucked out with some fresh snow the night prior. Weather was a little unseasonably warm towards the end but can't blame the Alpine team for that.
All and all, trip and experience with Alpine was excellent. If you are looking for equipment to rent to maximize your trip, don't look any further than the great...

The process was really easy. We reserved, paid, and filled out paperwork several months before our trip. Once we got there, we were showed a map of where we should ride, suited up if we wanted any additional gear, and headed out!
The landscape was amazing. It was snowing almost the whole time which made visibility limited. There were so many crazy things that happened while we were out there, we’ll have stories that last a lifetime.
Tips: The Box-Y “lodge” towards the end of the trail isn’t very friendly. We asked if we could get hot chocolate and eat our own lunch and they said no. We also asked if we could just eat outside under some cover since it was snowing and they said no. We found some cover under the trees and had lunch there. We also weren’t expecting rain and got some so bring a backpack with extra gear! Better to have it and not need it than to need it and...
