The hotel itself was quite nice-very modern and clean. There was one specific receptionist that sort of ruined the end of our stay: her name was Avala, or something.
When we checked in, the evening receptionist had told us breakfast was from 6am to 10am, and check out was at 11. The breakfast schedule turned out to be slightly wrong, as we had come down at 9:30am, only to find the dining room completely empty and a kitchen staff cleaning up. He was very nice, letting us take the rest of the Danish pastries and sit down to eat cereal. He also mentioned for us to tell the front-desk receptionist about the mix-up, as there had been someone else before us that had also gotten told the wrong time.
When we went to report the mix-up to the front desk, Avala listened attentively and then had very flatly told us that the times were posted on the sign outside the lounge area. We had checked, and indeed, they were--in tiny font on an equally small sign. When we tried to explain that the evening receptionist had mistakenly given us the wrong time. We wanted to help other customers by informing the hotel, so they wouldn't make the same mistake next time, she repeated that the time was on the sign, very obviously implying that it was our fault that we didn't check the sign ourselves and missed breakfast. Who checks every sign in a hotel? Especially when checking in at 11 pm. and driving after 4 hours without breaks?? Additionally, breakfast has been the first thing we had asked about when we checked in.
None of us were expecting anything more than an apology at minimum, but we didn't even get that. The thing I'm most offended by is how she implied that it was our fault for being told the wrong information when we were just relaying what the kitchen staff told us. I don't think she ever heard of "proper customer service".
Everyone else was alright. The nighttime receptionist was a little confused. The kitchen staff was quite nice. Housekeeping was really helpful and sweet. But this specific receptionist (Avala, or whatever her name was, needs to...
Read moreI would like to take a moment to recognize Scott at the front desk for his exceptional service during our stay. From the moment we arrived, Scott stood out for his professionalism, warmth, and genuine care. When we had a few questions about our reservation and local recommendations, he took the time to patiently explain everything, offered helpful suggestions, and ensured that every detail was taken care of.
What impressed us most was how Scott consistently went above and beyond. He didn’t just check us in; he made sure we were comfortable, followed up to see if we needed anything, and treated us with the kind of attentiveness that makes a guest feel truly valued. At one point when we needed assistance, he handled the situation promptly and with such courtesy that it turned what could have been a small inconvenience into a positive experience.
Employees like Scott are rare to find. His dedication and outstanding hospitality reflect the highest standards of the hotel, and he deserves to be recognized for the difference he makes in the guest experience. Because of him, we will not only remember our stay fondly, but also feel confident recommending this...
Read moreVery clean and new rooms, as others said this hotel was built recently. Check-in was very good and quick. Once we arrived in our room, we actually got a phone call a few minutes later asking if everything was up to our satisfaction. The hot breakfast had variety and was good. The reason I'm giving it four stars is due to the following:
The pool was their main reason we booked this hotel. When we arrived there was a leak that was being repaired. Therefore the pool was not available until the next day, and just refilled it so it was freezing cold.
We stayed on the bottom floor. The floors are not very well soundproofed. During our second night for about 2 hours there was guests above us that sounded like they were bowling and playing tag. We called the front desk twice to ask them if they could tell them to quiet down, eventually they did but you can hear everything in this hotel.
Our room was right outside one of those exterior lights that shine at the building. Therefore our room was lit up at night. There are no black out 2nd pannel blinds. It would have been nice as it let in a lot of light and therefore was definitely not a...
