La Cabaña Del Tequila — Restaurant in Alpine

Have eaten here many times over the years, mostly take out since I live 5 minutes from them, and there always seems to be some type of issue. Calling to place an order is almost always like pulling teeth. I can't count the amount of times I've had to go to the restaurant to place an order because phoning them is nearly impossible with getting someone to answer. I would then think they must be overwhelmingly busy, so I go there to place the order only to see the parking lot with just a few cars or completely empty. As many reviews have stated, they aren't the friendliest these days and always seem annoyed. Then there's the many times my takeout orders have had some type of issue, such as dishes not being made as described on the menu after getting them (missing or substituted ingredients) or being told they don't have this or they don't have that or they refuse to sell something 'extra' because they only have enough for the rest of their business day. My main peeve about that is the guacamole. They ALWAYS have issues with either not making enough or just not making it at all. We had lunch takeout for several coworkers a couple days ago and my burrito was supposed to have that included inside it, according to the menu, but it only contained meat. We weren't told they didn't have guacamole and it had only been a couple hours after they opened. None of our orders were given guacamole but instead were given a couple slices of avocado. The rice was very bland and my burrito was very over salted. They really need to work on their customer service if they want repeat business. I previously ate there 4 months ago but still nothing has improved, so i don't think I'll be back anymore. I recommend going elsewhere so you don't deal with any headaches or frustrations with this place. There's a taco bus next door with great food and a newer Mexican market/restaurant in...

I have never been treated so rude in my life the female waitress that greeted us when we walked into the door immediately told us to go back outside and stand and wait that her tables were full. There were a few tables that had diners but everyone was finishing up and leaving. I tried to call before I went over but no one answered the phone. We went outside and we stood there for about 10 minutes then I went back inside and she told me to go back outside and wait again for 10 more minutes. I reminded her that she had already told me to do that 10 minutes ago and that we wanted to be seated and have a beer while we waited for our table or food we weren’t in a big hurry but we wanted to sit down and relax. She then told me that she didn’t have any tables or anywhere to seat us. The restaurant was pretty empty at that point. She was very abrupt would not come close to the table stood about 5 feet from our table to take our order. The food was delicious. The service was horrible she hates her job and she shouldn’t be there someone needs to just take her out of her misery and fire her. She’s horrible for the business . We asked for chips and salsa she said No We don’t have any. I I left a small tip I normally am a big tipper. However, the service was just so awful and she was so rude and did not want us there and acted like we just ruined her day. My husband did not want to leave a tip at all but I took the highroad and wanted to at least give her something because the food was really good. She also turn the music up really really really blasting loud while we were finishing up our meal we couldn’t even hear...

We just ate there- 4 adults, 2 kids, and a baby- spent over $100. Food was ok- fajitas were served with half tortillas?!?!

Service was awful. Not quick (despite only 2 other occupied tables), and didn’t refill water/check on us. They also complained when we ordered additional food for the kids (more money for them though right?!)

Then, since we were only given 2 (halved) tortillas for 4 fajita meals.. I obviously asked for another one.

At the end, we got our check for $103. Then gave them our CC, then saw that they charged $106 for then additional ONE tortilla. WHO CHARGES EXTRA AFTER THEY GAVE YOU A RECEIPT?!

We, naturally, went and asked them what this was about. The woman hostly pointed to a menu- (where no where does it say they charge extra for it) and said “we only give one tortilla per fajita”- ok.... but we had 2 HALVED tortillas for 4 fajitas and dropped over $100... THEY WERE VERY AGGRESSIVE

Would. Not. Recommend.

Jumbo margs weren’t even good- very sweet... and food was “meh”

Oh- and they yelled at us because our girls were playing in their empty chairs- and they were “in the way”

Guess they took advantage of us being a group of 7 they knew they’d automatically get their 18%...
