I bought a dresser and a washer from them, both were damaged. The dresser was so damaged that I could not trust it to hold any clothing whatsoever. Why sell a broken dresser? That is so wrong in so many ways. The washer wouldn’t even work either. It didn’t dish out water and I know it wasn’t my hoses because I ran my hoses to check water pressure. The washing machine drum shook the whole machine as it washed and spun. Also the washer had a dent and a scratch on the front right side. If I buy something new then I expect it to be new. I called back to let them know and asked the manager Alex why don’t you guys test these first to make sure they work, he said we don’t test them only the manufacturer does. That’s a lie right up front. How does the manufacturer test products if they are boxed up in the first place. I speak from 19 years of experience in the furniture buisness. This is wrong on the lady salesman and the manager Alex. They don’t care about the customers at all. That’s why they let the warranty’s handle these problems. I recommend before buying that you take pictures of everything you are purchasing and triple check everything as it is being delivered. All they care about is taking your money.    Read moreI had the WORST experience EVER dealing with this schweles. My sales lady was super nice, and she was a pleasure to deal with. But the credit person was so incredibly unprofessional. Me I know I don't have the best credit but nor is it the worst. But she definitely made me feel that way. She had the nerve to discuss my credit with another person buying furniture. She didn't even have the professionalism to call me into the office and discuss my credit with me. She just stated well "I denied it". And when I kept asking why she said because I did. And I was like huh, you don't even need credit at schweles to get furniture. She said well you don't have anything good on your credit I was like ma'am I know thats not true I get my credit statements in the mail I make car payments and pay all my bills on time.    Read moreWe bought bonded leather reclining couches 4 years ago from this store. The leather is now peeling off and cracking everywhere. The service plan sold by Schewels denied our claim for repair. Now we need new couches. Why should we buy again from your store??
Follow-up on Dec 05: Called the store manager, Richard, who was professional and nice, and we agreed that while the issues are with the warranty company and furniture manufacturer, the Schewels retail store represents them and will take steps to make it right. Richard agreed to issue credit on our next purchase due to the defective bonded leather set. We'll visit the store soon to see what they have.
