Only got the one star for having Amaroso rolls, but that's the only thing going for this "Cheesesteak".Called ahead ordered cheese steak hogoes, got home and not a piece of lettuce, nor even a tomato seed on any of the sandwiches. Called back to inform them of the mistake, and was asked to hold a moment. While holding I could hear the cashier telling the cook what happened and she was told in a very rude fashion that the order was wrong because the cashier wrung it up wrong. My order ticket that was taped to my bag clearly stated CHEESESTEAK HOAGIE, so not wrong there. Cook was also overheard telling her to let me know that I could bring the sandwiches back to have the lettuce and tomato put on the sandwiches, but she was not remaking them, and not reimbursing me for said sandwiches. I was not calling for a refund. I am from Philly, and was actually excited about going to this place, as the closest thing I can get to an authentic cheesesteak in this area is Jersey Mike's. I really wanted to support a local business owned by the home team(Philly Natives). What I can tell you about this place is save your money, and just go to Jersey Mike's. The owner was rude to her employee and to me (unbeknownst to her). I tried to eat the "Cheesesteak" anyway, but as soon as I took my first bite, I was immediately hit with too much salt. No hate, but it is salty, and the "steak" was not thinly sliced ribeye, like you would get on a real cheesesteak, but was steak'um meat. That's sad for 15 dollars a sandwich. I am thoroughly disappointed with my food, and the attitude of the owner. I told them don't worry about any reimbursement or me coming to get the lettuce and tomato, it would just be better to not spend my money with them and to let others know to stay away for the reasons I have stated. This place would never make it in Philly, where you can a better Cheesesteak at a...
Read moreI called ahead to order 4 Cheesesteak Hoagies. We paid about 76 dollars. They charged extra for pickles. When we arrived I asked about water ice and pretzels because they’re displayed in the window and I’m am from Philadelphia. She offer me bottled water. We had two separate orders and as the cashier asked what I would assume to be a manager or owner to help her on the register, he was loud, rude and belittling towards the cashier. So we get home to find that we had 4 Regular Cheesesteaks. When we called to let them know we could hear the owner telling the cashier to tell us to bring them back and that they would put lettuce and tomato on it. Also telling her she rang it up wrong and that they weren’t giving a refund. So basically bad service and then the actual cheesesteak is made with what tastes and looks like over seasoned steak em meat and salty pickles. It was bad service, bad atmosphere and bad food. For all the money we spent trying to support a local business (With owners who have horrible attitudes) we could have went to Jersey Mikes. 🙄 I posted a picture of the very salty , poorly put together cheesesteak. And the ticket with out order clearly saying cheesesteak hoagie. Do better Broad Street Deli. Do better!! Highly dissatisfied Philadelphian...
Read moreFinally had the opportunity to try out Broad Street and man, I wish I would have come much sooner. My fiancé and I got mild wings to share and I got the Triple Cheese steak and she got the Cheesesteak w/provolone.
Triple cheesesteak: I had always heard a genuine Philly had cheese wiz, and these have it(should you choose it! Very good, I’m glad to finally be able to try it, and I will likely get this again, or atleast the cheese wiz
Cheesesteak w/provolone: my fiancé didn’t like how much meat was on the sub but let’s be honest… is that really a complaint? 🤣 so I’m not letting that ruin my scoring
Mild Wings: these wings are HUGE. I was worried, I don’t typically like ginormous wings but these were cooked perfectly and very tasty. I prefer a hotter option, fiancé doesn’t, so we met in the middle and got mild. They smell like they are gonna light you up, but they don’t. Mild have a good taste, I’ll for sure be trying a spicier option in the future.
Overall: you get a lot of food for your money, and the crew was so polite and seemed very down to earth. Go get you a genuine Philly cheese steak, you...
