Emporium 1101 - Anderson — Local services in Anderson

I was a vendor in this flea market for several years. I had several booths at one time. I made decent money in sales every month but I also had quality merchandise. When covid closed everything down we was not aloud to get our stuff but they still charged us rent. They said they would give us one month of free rent but they never did. I ask them about it and they keep po t saying they would get it fixed. I really like the employees that work and the facility but the owner and the ones making the big decisions are not very friendly when it comes to the people that are paying them. When I have been there for years and have multiple booths I cant get a discount but they give new people discounts is upsetting. I tried to get them to work with me on several occasions about pricing and I would rent out a whole section but they were greedy so I decided it would be better for me to leave and not give them any money. This place is loosing alot of vendors. That should tell you something right there!!!! I like the girls working there but cant put up with the decision makers and more. They do not appreciate who feeds them. I'll make my money elsewhere from someone who cares about me. I dont expect this place to be open much longer if it keeps being...

The place is getting emptier and emptier!! The prices are ridiculously high on most items. Most of the workers at the registers are rude with zero customer service, almost as if I'm bothering them!! I found lots of items I'd have been interested in but no price marked and no vendor present?? I'm not sure who runs the back room booth but omg that booth has the highest prices I've ever seen!! And the signage is very confusing, discount on all but everything states it's not included in said discount?? I've seen things priced the same or even higher than you'd find at a regular store when buying brand new!! And the hours are horrible! Most people are at work during their business hours! I feel they should be open til 8 or 9pm during the week. I loved this place when it first opened but I find myself going less and less often!! They are going to find themselves out of business very soon if changes aren't made!! They have the BEST location, size and layout of anyone around here and they have wasted...

This is a flea market, but it doesn't even appear to be half full. Also, alot of the items are dingy, dirty, or overpriced in my opinion. There's not really a good selection of items. Also, I am not sure how they normally treat customers, but after patiently waiting for 20+ minutes while the gentleman in front of me went back and forth on which items he really wanted because he apparently didn't have enough money for both, I was relieved that it was my turn finally but instead of taking care of me - the lady totally bypassed me and proceeded to start with the next lady's order without even acknowledging me. I know she saw me, we made eye contact. I don't know this lady so I don't know her motives with this but I had to speak up so I said, "excuse me ma'am, I was next." and she said, "well I am short handed and I will get to u next." with a very snooty attitude.
